SHUBHANGI BECOMES A CHOREOGRAPHER FOR ‘SAB KE SATRANGI PARIVAAR AWARDS’!

Recently during the shoot of ‘SAB Ke SATRANGI Parivaar Awards’, Chidhiya Ghar family was supposed to shoot for an introductory dance act on ‘Hum Toh Aise Hain Bhaiyaya. Like any other award function, the rehearsals were in full swings. Incidentally, no one from Chidiya Ghar except Shubhangi Atre Poorey aka Koel could turn up for the rehearsals due to busy shoot schedules. So like an ideal bahu of the family, Shubhangi took the responsibility of learning all the dance steps and teaching the other members of the family. Shubhangi, who was present for all her practice schedules, made sure not to miss out on any steps or acts.

A source informs, Shubhangi was seen teaching the final dance steps to her co-actors, at the back stage, just minutes before the actual LIVE act began. She is passionate towards dancing and happily took up the charge to train her co-actors, during the final moment and the performance was applauded by all.

Commenting on this, Shubhangi says, “I was enjoying my dance and very happy to be a part of SAB Ke SATRANGI Parivaar Awards. I wanted my Chidiya Ghar family to give their best performance and enjoy themselves. It was a challenge to train my co-actors at the last minute. I suggested them to be natural and dance with passion and emotion. But in the end all of them danced exceptionally well and I enjoyed playing the part of a choreographer for the moment.”

Prime Focus posted Salman Khan’s latest action packed movie ‘Jai Ho’

Mumbai, 28 January 2014: Prime Focus is delighted to be associated with Salman Khan’s much awaited latest action-drama feature film, ‘Jai Ho’. Directed and produced by Sohail Khan, the movie is a remake of Telugu film Stalin, and stars Salman Khan, Tabu, and newcomer Daisy Shah.

Merzin Tavaria, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Director, Prime Focus said, “These days film projects require us to adapt to a continuously evolving cut that allows the director to push the story-telling as far as possible. Specifically for this project, where the action sequences involved multiple safety hazards, VFX was used for most of the shots in the action scenes.”

Prime Focus’ main goal was to use Visual Effects (VFX) and Digital Intermediate (DI) to accentuate the dramatic impact without compromising on the film’s storyline.

Reupal Rawal,the Sr. VFX Supervisor,Prime Focus who worked very closely with Sohail to deliver the amazing VFX shots, speaking about the work said, “The biggest challenge of this project was to try and marry elements from footage that were often shot against chroma. Considering the safety hazards, this was done for most of the action sequences. For example, the action sequence at the climax contains plates of footage shot of the background and stunt rolling footages with Salman against chroma. At post, the team used the footage which was originally shot for each character in chroma, rotoscoping each character and then composited the footage to the background plates. This called for a great deal of compositing in massaging the elements together.”

With 150 VFX artists from Mumbai and Hyderabad contributing to numerous lengthy and complex sequences from the flawless CG amputated legs for Genelia’s character to powerful action sequences of multiple chroma and clean work was carried out impeccably. The team also worked on the matte painting backgrounds, set extensions were added, multi layered compositing for impactful sequences and monitor inserts were designed to blend seamlessly with the story line.

Sunny’s lingerie goes missing – Security beefed up on the sets of Ragini MMS 2.

Sunny Leone’s upcoming HORREX (horror and sex) film Ragini MMS-2 will see her don expensive, top-of-the-line lingerie in some scenes, most of which was ordered from a website of a renowned international brand.

Says a source, “Sunny is extremely particular about her lingerie and likes wearing the best so that it does not affect her skin.”

However, while shooting for a pivotal scene in the film that required Sunny to don an exquisite grey lingerie, the crew realized that it had gone missing. Frantic attempts by the costume team and the direction team yielded no results! Sunny’s lingerie had gone missing from the sets!

Owing to a continuity issue, the makers had to instantly re-order the same piece and paid a premium for early shipping to avoid a delay in the commencement of shoot.

From then on, the security on the sets was beefed up to prevent such unusual thefts.

Aamir Khan finally takes his much needed and well deserved break for 10 days to unwind.

The Aamir Khan starrer, Dhoom 3, not only had a massive opening at the box office, but also managed to break all records in Indian cinema.

Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ravi Jadhav to be felicitated at the 1st edition of Navi Mumbai International Film Festival (NMIFF)

Mumbai, January, 2014: Navi Mumbai, will hold its first ever Film Festival, on 31st January to 2nd February 2014. The festival will be held at the DY Patil Auditorium in Nerul, one of the largest auditoriums in the city. On this occasion Navi Mumbai International Film Festival (NMIFF) felicitates two reputed personalities of Indian Cinema Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ravi Jhadhav. Mr Chhagan Bhujbal, Minister of Public works; Maharashtra State will felicitate Sachin Pilgaonkar on the 31st January, 2014. Ravi Jhadhav will be felicitated by Humanity First Foundation on the 2nd Feb.

Starting as a child actor, in Marathi film, Ha Majha Marg Ekla (1962), Mr. Sachin Pilgaonkar went on to act in around 65 films as a child artiste, before switching to adult roles. He has recently completely splendid 50 years in Indian Cinema. Mr. Ravi Jadhav has immensely contributed to Marathi Cinema with his award winning films like ‘Natarang’ and ‘Balgandharva’. It is usually the actresses that take hours to get ready for shoot. But this time around, it is the two boys, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor that took hours to get ready for their shots in Gunday.

For their upcoming film, Gunday, which is a total masala film set in Calcutta, both the boys needed to get on a tanning makeup before the shot.

These shots were bare body shots so not just their face.. But also their body had to have the tan in order to match the skin tone of people in Calcutta and make it more realistic.

It took the boys 3 hours to put the tan make up and 2 hours to get it off each time.

The boys really understood why the actresses take so much time now and they surely empathize with them after this experience.

The film is slated to release on 14th Feb 2014.

Arjun Kapoor says, “I had it more difficult than Ranveer Singh as he had to go only two shades darker for me it was almost four shades.”
