The first-of-its-kind an international 24×7 helpline for patients suffering from pancreatic diseases was launched during the 10th International Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Symposium here on Saturday at Hotel Palladium.

The 24×7 helpline will help create awareness about the most neglected and vital organ of human body, the pancreas. In addition to remedies for acute attacks, the helpline will also provide free consultation for patients who want to know more about their existing pancreatic conditions. “This is a first-of-its-kind 24×7 international helpline that will patients from worldwide to provide free consultation about their pancreatic conditions. Jimmy Shergill’s Tweets On ‘Darr@The Mall’ Sets Amuses Everyone

Actor Jimmy Shergill, who will be next seen playing a security officer in upcoming horror flick ‘Darr@The Mall’, found an amusing way to deal with the exhaustion on the sets of the film, which was mostly shot at night at various malls in the city.

Jimmy said, “During the night shoots, we all used to be sleepy and exhausted as we had to go about our daily routine during the day too. So, whenever I used to see members of the cast catching a nap in a chair or something, I would click their pictures and put them up on social networking sites, with funny comments accompanying them about how the director was making us work so hard.” Apparently, Jimmy’s friends and associates found this quite amusing and they got back to him to tell him about how much they enjoyed the funny tweets.

The film, which is directed by Pavan Kripalani and produced by MSM Motion Pictures and Contiloe Entertainment, also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Arif Zakaria, Asif Basra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Shraddha Kaul and Neeraj Sood and the film is slated to release on February 21.

Vivek Oberoi recently took to the ramp to walk for designer Kirti Rathore, representing the charitable organization , the Bandra Community Center, at the India Kids Fashion Week held at the Lalit.

While the first season saw Sushmita Sen ,Dia Mirza, Sohail and Arbaaz Khan, the fashion week’s second season saw Vivek Oberoi walk the ramp with 14 children from the community center.

Says designer Kirti Rathore, “My professional journey with Vivek started 2 years ago when Vivek himself voluntarily supported the HIV cause during the Rajasthan fashion week where he walked with 15 special kids on the ramp in Jaipur ..He is truly an actor with a golden heart “. Adding that, “I had taken up a polo theme on the ramp which was something very unusual ..Vivek walked the ramp with 14 orphan children .Vivek has been working on social causes himself was the best choice as we both connect on the social front”.

Actress Sapna Singh says she’s a victim of casting couch, alleges molestation by producer

Mumbai-based model and actress Sapna Singh today alleged that she was molested by a producer at Versova near Andheri whom she had met at an audition about two weeks ago. Speaking to Newz66.com, she said the producer tried to pull her towards him and touched her bust, but she slapped him and fled.

Speaking to Newz66.com Sapna said, “I was called for an audition which I attended, but the audition was a farce. After speaking to me for a few minutes the producer asked me point blank if I was willing to compromise. He said he would give me a big break and launch me in a big way. He tried his level best to convince me, by dropping names and talking about certain known directors who had started their careers with him as Ads (assistant directors) or assistants. He also mentioned the names of some known models and upcoming actresses who he asserted had slept with him and he in turn had financed them or their music videos. I told him bluntly that I do not compromise, and if that was all he wanted to ask me, he could have asked me on phone itself and I would have replied with a capital NO.”

Revealing her ordeal to Newz66.com, Sapna recounts the traumatic incident, “It was then that he got up and touched me inappropriately. I too immediately got up and made for the door, but he held my hand and tried to pull me towards him and tried to touch me on my bust. I turned around and slapped him hard which stunned him for a few seconds giving me time to flee.

My friends have insisted that I file a police complaint. At this stage I do not want to file a police complaint because I am shooting for a Tamil film and I am not in Mumbai for the next 20 days. Also a lot of paperwork, court appearances and other legal formalities are involved and it will cause me great mental stress, but I have spoken to my family and they will take a call on this in a day or two. I am trying to forget the incident and have made up my mind never to meet any producer or director alone. The incident happened in the first week of January,” she reveals adding that the producer in question has financed two murder-mystery movies in the past which were released under the banner of a known director/producer.

Sapna Singh has been acting and modelling for the last three years. She has featured in serials like Mahadev Putra Bal Ganesh on Life Ok and episodic roles in various other Indian television serials like CID and is signed on for a suspense thriller movie going on floors soon. She has also featured in 3 south films – both Tamil and Telugu and has done several magazine cover shoots and music videos both in Hind and regional languages.

Sapna has also featured in episodic roles in CID, Haunted Nights, Crime Patrol, Savdhan India, Police Diary, Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chasma, Zee Horror Show, Naagin and regional projects like Jai Jagni Ma Durga, Jai Bajrang Bali and many others over the last two years.

After an exciting first day, India Kids Fashion week’s final day was much more promising and happening. Cheer spread from the ramp to the front row, with big bright smiles and fierce walks by the toddlers who were accompanied by celebrities on the runway. It was indeed a wonderful platform for the designers to showcase their love for kids and passion for designing cute outfits. The crowd was filled with a mix of renowned designers, supportive celebrities and cheerful little children. The Event did not just see designers showcase their kids’ creations, but brands too displayed apparels, shoes, toys, accessories and more.

The day commenced with renowned celebrity Fashion Stylist & Designer Manasi Kapadia along with the brand “Sheetal” showcasing beautiful ensembles to pick this Kids season. The bubbly kids confidently walked the ramp showing no signs of stage fear. The children were accompanied by Indian Idol singers Purvi and Sughanda as well as supermodel Kabir.

Promising to create a style statement amongst kidswear, Daughter’s Dream World by Kanchan Bawa showcased a blend of Indian, western and indo-western party wear range for our little princesses. Adding to the desi tadka, POGO’s Chutki (from Chhota Bheem series) walked with the little princesses. Television actress Shraddha Arya and television actor and model Nandish Sandhu accompanied Kanchan Bawa’s showstopper-her daughter Lavanya on the runway.

There were eye-catching designs in a plethora of colors, with lovely prints and amazing kid’s accessories by “Beebay”. This is a pocket friendly brand whose style statement is always about Fun, Frolic & Elegance. Sumit Dasgupta, the self-made talented fashion designer showcased a collection inspired by Maa Durga.

OKS Boys attracted positive attention through eclectic beach-wear, rockstar and casualwear; two out of the three not explored otherwise in the kids wear range. The highlight of OKS Boys when uber cool, alien superhero Ben 10 from Cartoon Network walked the ramp with renowned singer Armaan Malik.

The star attraction of the Second Edition of India Kids Fashion Week was rightly saved for the Grand Finale. Using innovative LED depiction of World’s Fashion Capital- Paris; renowned designer Nishka Lulla showcased travel collection for children on the runway. A blend of comfort and chic, the little ladies looked like Parisian fashionistas strutting across the ramp.

Nishka’s runway collection was opened by model and actress Sarah Jane Dias and closed by hearthrob Neil Nitin Mukesh. Her front row was a star-studded affair which included celebrities Nimrit Kaur who shot to fame with her movie The Lunchbox, Prachi Desai, Vishakha Singh, Sonal Chauhan and Amrita Rao.

Many celebrities were present to cheer up the Designers and their collection, these included Day-2 ended successfully on a mix note of innocence and fashion giving a strong feeling of the grandeur and splendor that is expected on the final day of India Kids Fashion Week 2014.
