Mumbaikars switch off to switch on good health

Mumbaikars discover solace at Sanjay Gandhi National Park as globally renowned natural healer, Tamanna C gives a free meditation session

Mumbai 17th December, 2013: Mumbaikars take a break from the daily grind and have a rendezvous with nature at a meditation session conducted by natural healer & psychic, Tamanna C at Sanjay Gandhi National Park. This is an extension of Cycle to Recycle, a cycling event organized by the residents of Rivali Park every month at SGNP to encourage visitors to take up cycling instead of vehicles and preserve the park.

This unique initiative started in June 2013 has been successful in its objective of discouraging motorists and car owners from using their vehicles within the park. A number of events have been conducted as a part of this initiative. The cascading impact of this move has been increased health consciousness among the visitors and nearby residents.

To enhance these opportunities for the visitors, Cycle to Recycle and SGNP have associated with Tamanna C. This past Sunday, a healing and meditation session was conducted by her to help the attendees ‘switch off’ from the world through meditation. Tamanna emphasized on the benefits of meditating outdoors and the importance of living close to nature.

Commenting on her association with SGNP and the session, Ms. Tamanna C said, “For me personally, it was a divine experience to see the participants so open to receiving and connecting with the basic principles of life and universal energy. It was also a confirmation about how every individual goes through similar energy imbalances in their day to day life and is constantly struggling to overcome them.”

About Rivali Park

Rivali Park is a 20-acre sustainable real estate development coming in up Borivali East. This future-ready, environmentally friendly endeavour by CCI Projects is a first of its kind mixed-use development in the area. Bike displays, new bike launches and the famous bike build off, on a larger scale. There is also enough to satisfy the overall adrenalin plus entertainment quotient. All this on the 17th & 18th January at Goa for all the bike and festival lovers.”

Shraddha Kapoor’s biker girl look in Mohit Suri’s forthcoming Villain has been extensively in the news.

Shraddha took extensive training to master bike riding and while shooting in Goa even took Mohit for shoot to the set on a bike.

Few know that Suri was inspired by his actress wife Udita Goswami.

Confirmed Mohit, “My characters always have an edge or something unusual about them. I wanted to introduce Shraddha differently in the film. Ten years back, I was shooting Zeher with Udita. We were put up in a small boutique hotel in Goa when she asked for a car. In those days we didn’t have major budgets. She borrowed a Bullet belonging to a hotel worker and rode it. I had never seen her like that. I decided that this was the girl I wanted to be with. So that’s where I got the idea of Shraddha’s character of a wanderer.”

Villain is under production and will release in mid-2014. It also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. It is a Balaji Motion Pictures production.

Screen scorcher Evelyn Sharma basks In Frost

So you thought one can only bask in the glory of the sun, eh? Think again!

This weekend, actress and fashionista Evelyn Sharma is burning the web screens in a short fashion film called In Frost premiered on the Fashion TV website.

The three-minute slick-flick featuring vignettes of the screen scorcher is produced by Vatsal Mehta and directed and edited by Maul Gohel, who was chosen among 25 international fashion and advertising photographers to win top honours at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

It has Evelyn basking in morning light, wearing modish outfits from ace designer Nishka Lulla. The pretty gal moves like a dream while the sun rays and its hues penetrate her – striding with grace and confidence – as if burning with ambition under warmth of the rising sun.

The stillness of a foggy sky in the backdrop seems to take her into dreamy rewind mode with a beautiful sepia tone at times, giving a retro feel to the scenes, yet maintaining a contemporary pace for the film.

She is styled by Hasnain Patel with make-up by Shubhash Singh. A mesmerizing score by Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell titled Blurred Lines plays in the background.

Though the film is called In Frost – more than frosty, we find it piping hot. Watch it and judge for yourself.

YRF have reached out to Kashmir valley authorities and government to open at least one cinema in Kashmir valley for Hindi Films.

Most theaters have been either burnt down or shut down completely since years there. No Hindi films or any form of entertainment prevails. Only connect is television and pirated cds.

YRF has taken a pioneering step where they have initiated a dialogue to open a theater (if not more) where Hindi films can get show casing starting with Dhoom 3.

Its unfortunate that the local audience doesn’t get to see films at all.

Idea came from the fact that Dhoom 3 as a film breaks all barriers of age and language it is a film meant for all. But intention of YRF is to open this cinema hall for every film that releases and the start can be Dhoom 3.

“It has been almost three months that the dialogue is on. Its not easy as all theaters there have been burnt down.” source close to YRF says.

The film starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra is slated to release on 20th December.
