A WORLD OF COLORS: A BLEND OF BENETTON QUALITY AND ITALIAN STYLE HAS REINVENTED CLASSIC WARDROBE STAPLES IN AN ARRAY OF COLOURS.
Spring, by its very nature, means renewal and rebirth after the cold days of winter, and what could be better than the use of colour to express the new-found desire to get out in the open air, rediscover the world around us and have fun outside the four walls of the house?
From the very beginning, United Colors of Benetton has always been the expression of the inclination to fill your wardrobe with bright colours that pep it up with brio and vivacity. In line with the brand’s philosophy, the must haves for spring 2014 will be: jeggings in lots of different colours! Available in skinny fit to accentuate the figure, and made with a special garment-dyed stretch cotton which come in a variety of super-bright colours; pink, strawberry red, turquoise, lime and mint green, as well as the more sober white and blue. The youthful spirit and touch of unconventionality of these pieces is an invitation to fun styling to express your own taste and your own personality. The coloured jeggings can be worn with light striped knits, such as nautical inspired ladylike cardigans, where the blue can be replaced with pastel shades, vichy check shirts with a sixties feel, or all-over floral printed blouses.
A technicolour world, very pop, that inspires positivity and the love of life, with a dynamic soul that does not try to hide a more romantic side. This is the young United Colours of Benetton woman in all her many facets, who lives intensely but looks to the future with hopes that lots of dreams will come true!

Let’s celebrate an accident free Makar Sankranti
Mumbai, January 13th 2014: Makar Sankranti, the harvesting festival celebrated across the nation with colourful kites flying in the sky and delicious Teel-Gool (Sesame and Jaggery) is here. But every passing year, the number of accidents on Makar Sankranti has surged many folds.
Kite flying, which is an integral part of celebration during the Makar Sankranti festival has become quite popular over the years. There also has been an increasing life threat due to possible electrocution and injuries due to accidents during Kite Flying. The thread used to fly kite, popularly known, as ‘Manja’ is made of metal powder as one of its ingredients and therefore becomes a good conductor of power. Even the glass powder manja can sometimes becomes a good conductor thereby posing a risk if it comes in contact with the high tension (220000 Volts) lines or even when enters the arching zone of these transmission lines.
Not only is glass-coated manja hazardous for birds, it is also responsible for numerous human injuries and deaths every year, including the deaths of passers-by travelling on open conveyances such as bicycles, motorcycles or scooters. There have been reported incidents of kids falling to death from roof tops while flying kites. One should celebrate Sankranti whilst keeping safety into consideration.
Dr. Sagar Galwankar, Specialist – Emergency Medicine, Global Hospitals, Mumbai says “Every year there are many injury cases that come to emergency during Sankranti because there is no regulation on making the manja. The festival is cultural and no norms are established or education to ensure safety standards amongst people. A few basic precautions can help us in reducing the number of such cases and celebrate a safer Sankranti.” Dr. Sagar added, “Youngsters should not touch electrical lines with iron rods or bamboo sticks. Children should be very careful while flying kites on top of buildings and half constructed walls as there is a danger of falling down. In case of any serious injury, visit your nearby hospital immediately.

McAfee study reveals majority of Indian adults share intimate details via digital devices
India – February 10, 2014 – Today, McAfee, the leading global security technology company released India specific findings from their 2014 Love, Relationships & Technology survey. For a second year in a row, the company examined how Indian consumers are sharing and storing intimate data on their mobile devices, especially with current or former significant others. The study highlights how sharing personal content such as suggestive texts, naked photos, suggestive video and passcodes on these devices can potentially lead to cyber-stalking and the exposure of private content leaking online. Some of the interesting India data points include-
· 90% of women in the age group of 18-24 were found to have received personal or intimate text messages, emails or photos on their mobile device out of the 67% polled respondents
· While sharing content, more than half of the polled Indians send sexts or sexually explicit text messages (79%) or personal or intimate text messages, emails or photos (70%) to their friends
· One third of the Indian respondents (68%), have checked their partner’s mobiles to check out their messages and photos
· 44% of people admitted to cyber stalking or following their significant other’s ex on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
(Annexure below has complete India specific findings)
“The indiscriminate usage of mobile phones to share photos and videos reiterate the realities of digital privacy—or lack thereof.” said Rupa Roy, Marketing Head – India and SAARC, McAfee. “Ultimately, users are increasing the risks of these photos becoming public and possibly jeopardizing their identity and reputation. It is critical therefore to take proactive measures to make sure their personal data is safe and secure.” she added.
McAfee advises consumers not to share passwords or codes for mobile devices with others to help keep their content secure. Mobile users should avoid using weak passwords that can be easily determined such as birthdays, numbers in a row or repeat numbers for their devices. Rather, six-digit passcodes and words translated into numbers using your mobile keypad are stronger and should be utilized. Users can protect all of their data through security solutions such as McAfee® Mobile Security, available for both iOS and Android, which comes with many features to help keep your private information private—even in the event your device is lost or stolen.
Additional India findings from the survey include:
Indians are not cautious when it comes to sharing information
· 90% of women in the age group of 18-24 were found to have received personal or intimate text messages, emails or photos on their mobile device out of the 67% polled respondents
· Indian women outrank Indian men in
o sending personal or intimate text messages, emails or photos (59%) and
o Filming sexual video content (30%)
· While sharing content, more than half of the polled Indians send sexts or sexually explicit text messages (79%) or personal or intimate text messages, emails or photos (70%) to their friends
· Sharing content on social media – posting photos (72%), online messages (62%), posting videos (35%) – to celebrate Valentine’s day is the new norm
Type of information shared with partners
· Sharing their mobile phone content and email account details is a well-accepted trend amongst polled Indian audiences
o More than 66% of them share their mobile content and 72% share email account details with their partners.
o Around half of the polled Indians (48%) also share bank account details with their partners. In a similar survey done by McAfee in 2013 on the same topic, it was found that 63% of the polled Indians shared bank account details with partners online/phone.
· Indian respondents are privy to highly personal details of their partners
o 70% know their partner’s bank account details
o 72% know their partner’s Facebook details
o 82% know their partner’s email account details
· Polled Indian respondents also trust their partners; not to share the content of their sexually explicit text messages, emails or photos. Only 5%-6% are mistrustful of their partners.
· Conversely, half of surveyed Indians (50%) shared their passwords with an ex, but were cautious enough to change the password when they break-up (89%)
Spying on partners
· One third of the Indian respondents (68%), have checked their partner’s mobiles to check out their messages and photos
· Out of 96% of surveyed Indian who are on Facebook, 31% check their partner’s activities by logging into their partner’s profile.
· 43% of Indian respondents track their partner’s ex on Facebook

Cyber Stalking
o 44% of people admitted to cyber stalking or following their significant other’s ex on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
o Interestingly, it’s majorly ‘women’ who carry out the above mentioned revengeful acts – which is mostly because their partner cheated on them (47%)

The year 2013 saw releases of various content based films like Ship Of Theseus, Shahid, The Lunchbox etc. These films were equally loved by the audience and critics.
However, with the award season going on, all these films are getting recognized at the award ceremonies. Although, all these content based films aren’t bagging popular choice awards, they are being widely recognized.
With such content based films which have released last year, the awareness and demand for these art house films have increased at a large extent.
The fact that these films are being recognized at award ceremonies proves that these films are getting one step closer to the audience. There is a hunger amongst the audience for such cinema and with these films releasing in good numbers, it looks the demand of the audiences will be soon met.
Films like Ship Of Theseus, The Lunchbox, Shahid, B A Pass etc indeed have garnered immense appreciation and now the audience are looking forward for more such releases.

Narendra Modi is all set to make India free from Corruption, Inflation and Making it a prosperous and powerful India. No politician in independent India has been demonised in such a relentless, Goebbelsian manner as Narendra Modi. Meghna Patel said, “Narendra Modi is a “person of great prominence” on India’s political landscape and has done great works for developments and prosperity in his state and now he is the prime ministerial candidate. People will vote for him to make the India better in 21nd Century. We all love you Mr Modi”
