Kritika Chaudhary a divine beauty from Haridwar knocks on gate of Bollywood. Kritika was having a strong passion for acting since her childhood, so after completing her studies, with permission of her parents she came to Delhi for a acting course. Her mother who is with famous ‘Anchor’ company and her father who is in business of ‘Tours and Travel’ were hesitating to allow her to take up acting as her carrier, as they were afraid by various news of casting couches in Bollywood, but seeing Kritika’s determination and strong will power they gave her permission.
After completing her acting course Kritika without wasting any time directly landed in Mumbai in 2011, and was lucky enough to meet Queen of Soap Opera Ekta Kapoor through a common friend, and she got a breakthrough with getting a important character in Balaji’s serial ‘Parichay-Nayee Zindagi Ke Sapno Ka’ which was telecast from Aug 2011, and where she played role of Kunal Chopra’s cousin. Unfortunately she was not satisfied with the way her character grew up in this serial. So she decided not to do any more TV serials, until and unless she gets a major role.
During this period she got a chance to meet film director Vishwas Patil through her friend Vicky who was casting director. Vishwas Patil was making a film ‘Rajjo’ with Kangana Ranaut, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Jaya Prada and Dilip Tahil, and was in search of beautiful and cute girl to play role of Kangana’s friend, and thus Kritika Chaudhary got a break in silver celluloid. Now this film is complete and will be released soon.
Kritika Chaudhary has also signed a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu being directed by M. A. Choudhary based on English film ‘I Like You, You Like Me’ which is going to start soon.
Currently she is doing two Bollywood Movies, one “MUMBAI CAN DANCE SAALA” a film based on after-life of bar girls after closing of dance bars in Mumbai, Film is being produced by Ranjeet Sharma and written, directed by Sachindra Sharma, with music by Bappi Lahiri. Second one is “Model” produced and directed by Sumeet Chawla.
Kritika says “This short span of my life in Mumbai and in Bollywood has taught me to face every situation whatever comes in your way. And I believe I will definitely carve a place in Bollywood and make my parents proud”.

The activity into its 13th year will be carried out in 32 major cities across the country.

3rd Vasai-Virar Mayor’s Marathon on Oct 27; online registrations open on August 19
The 3rd edition of the National Level Vasai-Virar Mayor’s Marathon will be flagged of on Sunday, October 27, 2013 and is once again expected to attract the cream of the country’s long distance talent, along with thousands of serious, amateur participants from Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai as well as the other districts and states in the country.

The timing chip is mandatory for all participants of the Full Marathon and the Half Marathon and registration fee for the same, inclusive of the cost of the Timing Chip, has been fixed at Rs 300.
Completely filled forms, along with the timing chip fee in the form of cash or cheque/DD can be sent by post/courier to the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (Mayor’s Marathon office) Head Office, Bazaar Ward, Virar (East), Post-Vasai, Dist-Thane, Pincode-401305. The cheques should be drawn out to the “Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation – Mahapour Marathon.
For the third year running, the theme of the Vasai-Virar Mayor’s Marathon will be the welfare of the girl child and its motto will be “Save the Girl Child and Maintain Nature’s Balance”.
Elaborating on the arrangements to be put in place for the 3rd Vasai-Virar Mayor’s Marathon, the Mayor said all participants would be provided a traffic-free route, with adequate water stations and energy drink along the route. Medical stations and fully equipped ambulances, staffed with well-trained medical personnel would also be present to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Free shuttle bus service to and from Vasai and Virar stations to the start/point will be provided on race day to facilitate participants to reach the venue without undue hassle.
The 3rd Vasai-Virar Mayor’s Marathon has got the sanction of the AFI as well as the Maharashtra Athletics Association and officials from all over the state will be deployed to oversee the technical conduct of the event. The event will also enjoy the complete support of the Thane Rural Police to ensure the safe and successful conduct of the event. Besides the technical officials, there will be around 100 pilot bikes and around 1000 volunteers on Race Day to assist in its smooth conduct.

Bangalore, 14th August, 2013: 92.7 BIG FM’s Bangalore station celebrated this Independence Day with the launch of ‘BIG Badlawane’ – a social awareness campaign to involve the citizens to create a ‘Better Bangalore’. The activity was held at Lalbagh in the presence of Kannada Super Star Srinigar Kitty. The campaign is in keeping with the network’s philosophy of being socially responsible and undertaking initiatives to improve the lives of citizens through its activities.
The campaign kicked off with the dignitary felicitating common people who have made an effort and shown excellence to bring about prominent and commendable change to make the city a better place. As part of this initiative, 92.7 BIG FM in association with the Civil Defence Organisation conducted a workshop on self defense. Aimed at making the citizens self-reliant and confident, 25 participants were given training to fight violence and protect themselves. Going forward, 92.7 BIG FM will facilitate more such workshops and give its listeners an opportunity to undergo the training. The radio network also awarded Civil Defence Organisation for supporting police during crisis in the city.
92.7 BIG FM awarded the citizens making change for the betterment of the city like Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, Founder of a non profitable organization Suraksha, which helps common people to get medical help at free of cost. Dr Shetty had helped 178 people with serving them with free of cost cardiac surgeries. BIG FM also awarded the award winning multi talented choreographer G. V Raju for his dissemination of knowledge through spiritual dance form. LIONS club representative Ms. Nagarathna Manjunath received an award for her excellent performance in serving the city by encouraging girl child education and organising free cornea donation camps. B.M Shivakumar, the noteable RTI activist who exposed the BDA land allotment scam also received an award for his initiative to make Bangalore a less corrupted city.

Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to present the film, The Lunchbox, which stars Irrfan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead.
A source close to the film’s production house reveals, “The makers of the film want to throw a party for Karan. He has decided to attach his name to the project and will be presenting and marketing the film.” The source further adds, “Karan, who will be promoting the film, will also be receiving a token of thanks from the makers, who recently released D-Day. They wish to be upfront in their appreciation of Karan for taking up the project.”
The Lunchbox stars Irrfan and Nawazuddin in the lineup and the source says that its core audience is excited about the project. But with a presenter like Karan, it would help them make it a more commercial film.

OUATIM Dobaara rocks its Thursday previews, poised for a strong opening weekend
Having released in approx. 1600 screens across India, Balaji Motion Pictures’ Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara took a flying start on the day of its bank holiday previews (Thursday).
Despite a delayed release in Rajasthan (on account of protests), the collections netted a record-breaking Rs. 14.2 Cr for previews.
Theatres showed strong occupancy levels (80%-90%) with Housefull status in several centres.
On Friday, the film has opened up in approx. 2500 screens (including single screens), with sustained word-of-mouth and great response in the morning and afternoon shows. Going by these trends and with no other new release on the weekend, OUATIM Dobaara is poised to continue its winning streak.
