Saurabh Agarwal showcasing revenge comedy play titled ‘Kitty Kitty Bang Bang’

~ Angry comedy about vengeance dealing with women hurt in love promises a wild ride ~

Mumbai, 11th July 2013: Theatre aficionados have a reason to celebrate as the city plays host to the premier show of director Saurabh Agarwal’s show ‘Kitty Kitty Bang Bang’, an angry in-your- face comedy based on revenge. Subscribing to the motto, ‘The only thing that’s sweet and non-fattening is revenge!’, the play promises to be a rib-tickling delight.

The story starts with two disgruntled women who have been betrayed by men: Julie, who was laid off as she did not lay her boss and Perizaad, who was dumped by her married boyfriend. To deal with the loss, Julie guzzles down drinks as Perizaad starts binging on food. While wallowing in self-pity, Julie has an epiphany, to pay back all ‘Man’kind for their grievances. In their quest for revenge, the first guy they come across; a pizza delivery guy who unwittingly agrees to share a beer with them, faces the brunt of their wrath. From there, the evening gets crazier, wilder, angrier, and very, very funny.

The cast includes Anisa who has acted in popular Bollywood movies ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and the popular Disney T.V show ‘Ishaan’, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment with a stint in several ads, shows and plays. Joining Anisa is Rumana Molla, the lead anchor of the popular children’s show “MAD” on Pogo Channel, who has modeled for several ads and has acted in a film to be released in the summer of 2013. Huma Qureshi Interview

Actor Huma Qureshi who made her debut in critically acclaimed Gangs of Waseeypur, made a mark in Bollywood within in a year with her charm as well as performance. She features in one of the stories in Shorts, which is slated to release on 12th July, 2013. She is in a candid chat before the release of her film….

Q: How did Shorts happen to you?

A: The idea of Shorts came during Gangs of Wasseypur. I met my director Shlok Sharma during the shooting of GOW. He narrated a beautiful story to me written by Annie Zaidi. I liked the concept and agreed to do the film. This is something which an actor would love to do.

Q: What is your box-office expectation from Shorts?

A: We haven’t made Shorts for the box office. These are new directors, fresh talent, and we are also new-age actors. So, the idea was to create some new cinema, new thoughts, and new films. In fact, most of the films in Shorts have got awards. I have got an ward; Shlok has got an award also.

It’s getting International acclaim all over and I think the film has been made for that. That’s why the film is releasing, though in selected theatres.

Q: What is your take on Shorts?

A: The idea behind Shorts is to create a new breed of actors, directors and writers who have an interesting way of looking at things.

Q: What is the difference between short film and feature film?

A: A feature is a much longer, dedicated sort of a commitment. A short (film) is, in terms of time, much shorter. But what you have to portray within those 10-15 minutes is the main thing. So, there’s a lot of pressure in doing a short film. You have to tell an entire story and the journey of a character and make people move and believe in those 10-15 minutes. That’s quite a challenge.

Q: Do you think that Shorts will serve any purpose for the cast and crew?

A: This is a beginning and it is a good beginning. Some of directors from Shorts are working on their feature films. Hopefully, we will be seen them in coming few years. There will be some name to reckon and famous. Hopefully all of them will make their own feature films in future. It’s good step in that direction.

Q: Share something interesting about your character in Shorts?

A: Shlok wanted me without make-up in the film, as it is a hard-hitting story and needed that look. So, I decided to go de-glam for the character of Sujata in Shorts.

Q: Any memorable experience during Shorts?

A: (Smile) we had to shoot in Pune for a day. I sat behind the wheels and drove all our team all the way till our destination. I love driving on the highway. And what made the experience more adventurous is that it was raining all through the journey.

Shorts is ready to hit the theatres on July 12, 2013 with a PVR-Cinemax release.

She places the burning camphor on her palm overwhelming Pratap proving her love towards him. As Bhatiyani is treated for her wounds, Pratap feels astonished and lucky. Between all the prayers and praises for the courageous Pratap, an evil eye seems to be following him. This evil eye is none other than of Rani Bhatiyani .In hindsight of Rani Bhatiyani mind is clouded by doubt and concern that if Pratap continues on his journey portraying bravery and nobility her son maybe over looked and ignored as a rightful heir to the throne in Uday Singh’s eye.

Govinda was in his jovial best when he visited the sets of Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Junior for the upcoming ‘Disco’ themed gala episode. Govinda instantly struck a chord with the singing juniors as he joked and danced with them. But the actor took special interest in Ahmedabad contestant Nirvesh Dave.

When Nirvesh took to stage and performed a scintillating ‘disco’ song, Govinda was quick to praise his talent in gujarati. Nirvesh was delighted to hear Govinda converse with him in his mother tongue. Sony kicks off India’s first online Beatboxing Competition

New Delhi, July 2013: Sony India today opened entries for participation in a super engaging and exciting online music event: The Sony VAIO Beatboxing Competition. Music enthusiasts, solo artists, bands, singers and youngsters across the country can upload YouTube links of their beatboxing performance videos for the song “Moves like Jagger”, by world’s leading beatboxing artist, Shlomo; and submit the links on Sony’s microsite, http://www.sony.co.in/microsite/vaiosonic/. Sony has tied up with Shlomo for this contest who can also be seen in the latest VAIO television commercial, on-air from 2-July. The winner will be entitled to win a brand new Sony Vaio

While the contestants would need to popularise their entries and generate maximum likes for their performance; a panel of expert jury and Shlomo himself will evaluate select acts based on their performance, innovation in music and popularity.
