Samsung has unveiled its fifth generation Galaxy S series smartphone – the Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014. The world’s largest smartphone makers bring new generation Galaxy S5 with more features, superior camera and fast connectivity. The all new Galaxy S5 is an advanced and updated version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4.
Although the looks and feels are almost like Galaxy S4, but S5 offers a number of new features along with new internal design.
The S5 features 5.1 inches display with 1080×1920 pixel full-HD resolution. It has same Super AMOLED panel like S4. However, it has a new home key with integrated fingerprint scanner and capacitive keys for multitasking and Android’s back button.
The Galaxy S5 has superb device protection features via IP67 for water and dust resistance. Galaxy S5 has new plastic battery cover with a dimpled soft-touch “modern glam” look.
Samsung S5 will be available in four different colors — black, white, blue and gold.
The S5 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with Samsung’s UI. It has 16-megapixel camera with in-built heart rate sensor located under the primary camera. It comes with S-branded apps including the S Voice personal assistant, bloops and the My Magazine feature.
Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to hit the market around April 2014.
