Leading name in heating Dimplex has reached a landmark in customer support, having recently produced its 30,000th heating design.

The milestone project, created for Bellway Homes Yorkshire, was marked with a donation to Martin House Children’s Hospice, the housebuilder’s chosen charity.

Dimplex’s heating design team provides an invaluable support to specifiers, architects, housebuilders, contractors and a wide range of other construction professionals.

Taking into account information on room dimensions, glazed area, and the level of heating in adjacent areas, the team carries out heat loss calculations, works out the property’s heat load and makes recommendations on combining products to best meet requirements. It also provides advice on complying with relevant building regulations and over the years has helped many customers find a solution to their regulation nightmares.

Don Newman, heating design manager, says: “Our customers really appreciate our service. They already know and trust the Dimplex product range, but the heating design service adds real value. The bespoke heating schemes we produce and the advice we give really do ensure each project achieves the required performance levels, making for satisfied customers – and happy end users.”

Dimplex’s 30,000th heating design is an electric heating scheme created for a new Bellway Homes development of 44 apartments in Leeds. Mark Bray, technical director at Bellway Homes, says: “We use the Dimplex heating design service regularly for many of our developments nationwide, and find that getting input from the heating experts at an early stage really speeds up this phase of the design process. It was a surprise to learn that our project marked such a milestone for Dimplex, and we have been delighted to accept this kind donation to support our chosen charity, Martin House.”

Located in Wetherby, Martin House is a hospice for children and young people with progressive life-limiting illnesses, and is Bellway Homes’ chosen charity this year. A team from the housebuilder entered the Martin House annual dragon boat race, raising over £3200 to help fund the hospice’s work.
