Since the beginning of September we’ve welcomed five new colleagues at SparkOptimus. Here’s who they are, in order of join date:

Hein Castelijns joined SparkOptimus as a junior associate in September. He recently graduated from the University of Groningen and hold an MSc degree in Finance. During his studies, he spent half a year in Indonesia, where the gained a minor in Economics. He was also chairman of one the major student organizations in Groningen.

Vincent Vollebregt joined SparkOptimus in September as an associate. Previously Vincent worked at Accenture, where he was active in digital practice at a variety retailers active in fast moving consumer goods. He hold a master degree in Strategic Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. During his studies, he completed internships at KLM and L’Oreal.

Joris Koning re-joined SparkOptimus as a Senior Manager in October. Colleagues who have been around longer will know him as he previously worked at SparkOptimus between 2011 and 2014 as an associate and manager. For the past two years, he was member of the management team at the Detailresult Group, responsible for e-commerce, e-services, and business development. Prior to joining SparkOptimus in 2011, Joris was responsible for business development at V&D and Maxeda, respectively. He holds a master in Business and Administration from the Vrije Universiteit.

Wouter Van den Broek started this week as an associate. He started working at TNO as trainee 4 years ago and continued as strategic business analyst. Wouter holds a Master in Aerospace Engineering. During his studies, he did an internship at MIT, and he was also the board secretary at VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’, the study society for Aerospace Engineering students.

Julian Naber joined SparkOptimus as an associate in October. He holds a Master degree in Physics from the University of Mainz. During his studies he was a research and teaching assistant, and did internships at Trelleborg and the Deutsche Börse Cash Market. Recently, he earned a PhD in Quantum Computing from the University of Amsterdam, which he was able to support with a EU Marie Curie scholarship.
