Morning! Hope your weekend was good? Did you get lots of wedding planning done? Did you do anything for Halloween? I think by now you may have seen what I did on social media but I am writing this in advance. I assume I had a great time!

Jess and Lee got married at Pendley Manor, this is a new venue to me, though I am not sure why as it is beautiful. I do love a Tudor style manor house.

Hair – My friend Emma Johnson from Strand hair & beauty salon in Luton – http://strandhair.co.uk/

Makeup – My friend Emma Hardware http://www.makeupbyemma-jo.co.uk/

Spray tan & nails – My friend Aimee Jobson https://www.facebook.com/beautybyaimeej

Lee, his ushers, best man and both our fathers wore suits hired from Moss Bros from the Ted Baker Tails of the unexpected collection. We chose them because of the beautiful peacock design inside the suit jackets and on the waistcoats.

Jenny Packham – Ellie. Purchased from Miss Bush Bridal in their Sample sale. Miss Bush were so welcoming and made me feel so at home. I still had some baby weight to lose at the time of purchasing my dress so i didn’t feel totally confident with my body but i felt amazing in all the dresses i tried on!

Shoes – Carvela purchased from ASOS

Bride’s hair accessories/veil – Hair accessories purchased from Accessorize

Bridesmaid dresses were a multi way wrap dress spotted by my Mum whilst on holiday on the greek island of Skiathos! I Just loved how each of my maids had a different wrap style. My flower girls dresses and matching hair bands were from Monsoon.

From the moment we first visited Pendley Manor we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. The venue was so beautiful both indoors and outdoors with plenty of stunning landscaped grounds providing a perfect backdrop to our photos.

Flowers By Suzanne – Suzy is such a talented lady. I first met Suzy months in advance of the wedding and didn’t really have much planned out for my flowers. I knew I liked Peonies and that I wanted to incorporate the peacock feathers but I left the rest to Suzy. When I saw the flowers on the day I was totally blown away, they were just so beautiful and my bouquet smelled divine! Our flower girls were over the moon with their sweet fairy wands.

My favourite moment was walking down the aisle with my father and bridesmaids and seeing Lee waiting for me with my son Max. It was such an emotional moment and one that I will remember forever!

Our wedding favours were homemade bottles of sloe gin and Redcurrant and raspberry jam by my wonderful grandparents Sandra and Brian. All the fruit was grown and picked by them and loving turned into our delicious favours. The jars and bottles were purchased from Miniature Glass bottles. Brilliant service and all items were well packaged for delivery. http://www.miniatureglassbottles.co.uk/

I made all the wedding stationery myself using rubber stamps and brown kraft paper. It was very time consuming but i loved making it all myself and giving it that personal touch.

The only theme we had was peacock. This was to fit in with the peacocks roaming the grounds of Pendley manor, they were a big hit with all the children at the wedding!

All catering was provided by Pendley Manor and couldn’t have been better. The food was brought out promptly and was absolutely delicious! I was particularly impressed with the lovely choice of childrens meals! It’s so nice to have more choice that chicken nuggets and chips!

Mylo Photography were just brilliant. We aren’t really big on posed photography so as soon as I saw Kieran & Joannes photography online I knew that was the style I wanted. They mingled with our guests and felt like part of the family throughout the day, taking such perfectly timed natural photos that really captured the happiness of the day.

The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful! Jess Hewitt of Fieldfare Cakes provided our stunning 3 tier naked wedding cake with fresh fruit arranged around the tiers.

The wedding topper was a collection of lego figures, one for each member of our family. Myself, Lee, our son Max and our Dalmatian Meg. I did have to contact Lego customer services in order to track down the Dalmatian piece but they were very helpful and had one sent to me within a few weeks!

The entertainment was provided by Mayhem Productions who were recommended by Pendley Manor.

We went on a family holiday with our son to Cornwall. We stayed at Merlin Farm holiday cottages in Mawgan Porth. Complete luxury and relaxation and also a safe environment for our son to play and have fun! http://www.merlin-farm-cottages-cornwall.co.uk/

Choose things that will make you happy, it’s about what you want for your day, not about what you think your guests will want.
