Andrew Spence, 2015 CB, Coral Gables High

Coral Gables, FL

HT: 6’2 WT: 190 40-YD: 4.47

Programs interested: Illinois and South Carolina

2014 Stats: 25 tackles, two interceptions

Illinois: “They like my size and speed, and that they were going to be watching me closely.”

South Carolina: “The staff told me they like my aggressiveness and they’re anxious to see how I perform the rest of the season.”

School location: “I wouldn’t mind staying close to home, but if I have to leave the state I will.”

Early playing time: “It’s not going to be a deciding factor, I can wait my turn.”

Strength of game: “I feel like I play man coverage well. I’m a physical player and I like tackling.”

Asst. Coach David Cooney says: “He’s a big, physical corner. He does whatever we tell him to do. He’s a great kid and athlete. Andrew has tremendous upside, a nose for the ball. He will run track this season and develop his top end speed. He’s a major Division 1 prospect.”

DJ Davis, 2014 QB, Sandalwood

Jacksonville, FL

HT: 5’10 WT: 185 40-YD: 4.68

Programs interested: Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Valdosta St., Wayne St., and Jacksonville

2014 Stats: 57-of-91, 963 yards, 14 TDs, three rushing TDs

CSU: “I attended a camp there this summer, spoke with the QB coach, he said he was very impressed with me. I visited unofficially recently. When I arrived on campus, he remembered and said he was happy to see me. They want me to visit again soon,” Davis said. “The staff said they’re recruiting me at quarterback and that they’re very interested.”

CIT: “The Citadel was one of the first programs to express interest in me last spring. I attended one of their camps over the summer and I’ve also visited unofficially,” he shared. “I liked the atmosphere. I talked to the staff and they want me at quarterback and for me to visit again.”

VST: “I haven’t had the chance to visit them yet, but we’re working on it. They also want me at quarterback.

JU: “Coach Kerwin Bell told me he very impressed with my ability at the camp I attended this summer. He said he liked my ability I displayed during the 7-on-7 workouts.”

Davis on future plans: “I’m planning to see Valdosta St., I want to visit The Citadel again, and hopefully any other programs that are interested in the future.”

Matthew Whyte, 2014 CB, Carol City

Miami Gardens, FL

HT: 5’11 WT: 185 40-YD: 4.47

Programs interested: UCF, Florida St., USF, Ohio, Cincinnati

USF: “I talk to coach Telly Lockette, he says they’re interested. If they’re interested, I’m definitely interested.

FSU: “I like everything about Florida St.: the players, jerseys, coaches, campus, how they run practice, everything.”

UCF: “They came down for the spring game to scout me,” he said. “I’ve visited unofficially. The campus was nice. I talked to a couple of players that graduated from Carol City. I like the program, I enjoyed it.”

Ohio: “The coaches have seen my tape and they want to see my mid-season film before they make any decisions.”

Cincinnati: “It’s the same situation as Ohio. They want to see my five-game cut.”

Unofficial visits: “Yes sir, I’ve visited Louisville and Georgia also.”

School location: “I’d like to play college football closer to home, but if I have to travel further, I’d be open to that.”

Academics: “My coach told me I’m close to making the honor roll, so everything is going well there.”

No. 1 factor when choosing a program: “I’d like to get early playing time. It’ll be important for me when I decide on which program to play for.”

 Brent McGlashon, 2015 RB/FB, Forrest HS

Jacksonville, FL

HT: 5’10 WT: 176 40-YD: 4.69

Programs interested: “I’m trying to get my name out there now and we’ll see what happens.”

Brent’s interested in: “Arkansas. I know they have the types of classes in communications I like, so I’d like to attend college there,” he said. “I also like their zone running scheme. I think that philosophy fits me.”

2014 Stats: 36 carries, 300 yards, four touchdowns, played for Pro Impact 7-on-7 team in Jacksonville.

GPA: 3.0

School location: “I want to leave home for school.”

No. 1 factor when choosing a school: “I want to get a solid education first in communications. I think finding the right fit for my ability is also important.”
