Happy Tuesday! It's been a while since I last did an instagram roundup (if you don't follow me on instagram, you can here) so today I'm sharing a bunch of insta pictures from my recent trip to Lake Tahoe. I had a ton of emails/comments asking where we stayed, so I'm giving you all the resort details at the end of this post!

This was the view out of our room on Christmas morning... we stayed in a room with a "forest view" instead of "valley view."

Every room in the resort also has a fireplace! The temperature in Tahoe was below freezing most of the time, so we took advantage of the fireplace a lot. It was so nice to wake up and sit by the fire with a cup of coffee!

This was the view from Crystal Bay. We went here our first day before the blizzard hit!

camo vest // black tee // black leggings (my fave!) // Sorel boots

One of our favorite things to do in Lake Tahoe is visit Olympic Village. There are tons of restaurants and shops, and you can take a tram to the top of the mountain, which is a really cool experience. It was so cold that we were constantly taking breaks for hot drinks!

This was the morning it started snowing! I love wearing pastel colors in the snow.

I wore this look on Christmas, I LOVE white on white outfits in the snow. Behind me you can see a little bit of the resort.

There's a skating rink on the resort too.... we went one morning. I used to take skating lessons for years so I thought I would be okay, but I still ended up wiping out one time haha.

Another fun thing to do is drive into Tahoe City. You'll find amazing coffee shops, restaurants, a CVS and grocery store. Plus it's right on the lake and you can walk right down to the water.

We found this little bridge one day just by driving around. Everywhere you looked, the views were so beautiful!

Like I said, we really took advantage of this fireplace! It made the room so warm and cozy.

I would definitely recommend renting a car (with four-wheel drive!) in Lake Tahoe. We used ours almost every day to drive to Olympic Village, Tahoe City or just exploring.

Being in Tahoe for Christmas was magical. Our resort had a gorgeous Christmas tree up in the lobby and had hung lights on all the trees outside.

The view of the resort!

Okay now for the resort info! We stayed at Squaw Creek Resort in Squaw Valley. You may remember that my family actually came here last January and we loved it so much that we wanted to go back for Christmas (plus California was an easy destination for my brother to fly to). If you ski or snowboard, you will definitely love Squaw Creek, there's a slope right on the property. My family doesn't ski but there was still plenty to do while we were there... we went sledding, tubing, ice skating, visited Olympic Village, Tahoe City and drove all around the lake exploring. We ate almost all of our meals at the resort... my family loves Sandy's Pub - a little restaurant that serves burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc.  I've heard that it's also a lot of fun in the summer... there are several pools and a lot of lake activities you can do in the summer.

If you have a specific question, let me know in the comments! :)
