Lowes Build and Grow  It’s a Toy Story movie tie-in-Pizza Truck  Advance registration required for these popular, free programs   There are still spaces available at Some locations, and this is also offered on Sunday.

Families can visit the restored Mary Olson farm in Auburn for free on Saturdays and Sundays all summer   While not a huge outing, it’s fun and neat for the kids to see. Update: Veggie car races! Stop by on the 13th from 1-4PM to build a car from vegetables and watch it go!

Water Weekends with HCC Mast at Redondo Every Saturday visit the center for free from 10-2 and get up close with sea critters in their touch tanks  Octopus graduation today

 Saturday Story Time at Southcenter Barnes and Noble  11AM  Every Saturday; perfect for ages 3-7

The spraygrounds are On in Tacoma! Free, open 10AM-8PM

Children’s Gardening Program with the Master Gardeners at the WSU extension in Puyallup   1PM  Never been? I have a post with more about this fun children’s program here.

Rhubarb Days in Sumner  Kids’ parade and activities, tractor photo ops, vendors

Tacoma Public Library Programs  Comedian Bill Robison at Wheelock at 11AM; Humorous Storyteller Chris Fascione at South Tacoma at 11AM or Mottet at 2PM

Family Nature Walk at Oak Tree Park  Walks are free, but you’re asked to register. Not suitable for strollers-perfect for 3 and up!

 Crafts of the Past at Fort Nisqually  Each weekend, artisans demonstrate a craft that would been used in the 1880s. While not a total bargain, a trip to the Fort is fun for most children and a good resource if you have one doing some kind of report. .  Also Sunday

SummerFest in Lakewood July 13th-14th  Steilacoom Park  music, car show, kids’ activities, movie at dusk Saturday

Outdoor movie night at the LeMay Museum   Movie is free; zipline rides and food available for purchase. Parking spaces open at 4:30PM and are limited. You’re encouraged to come early and check out the museum (regular admission charges apply for that). It’s the Flinstones.

Visit the LOTT Wet Science Center  Activity for ages 11 and up from 2-3-learn about the importance of natural cosmetics and personal care products and make a lip balm! Younger children can always check out the center the rest of the day.

B&K productions present a student production of A Little Mermaid in Lacey  shows through the 19th; tickets start at 5.00
