Every company or organisation has certain rules to which they stick. So does Disney. So what’s so different? The rules Disney have been laid down for it’s employees are as bizarre as Uncle Scrooge’s voice. Perhaps a tad more. Here are the 15 strict and funny rules Disney employees have to follow.
Yes dear princesses, no exceptions!
The cast members of Disney sure tickle us, but the rules they have to follow are pretty strict and very bizarre!
1. Disney employees cannot point with one finger
This must be the cornerstone of the Disney World since even this famous statue points with two fingers.
2. Disney cast members cannot say they don’t know.
Not knowing something isn’t an option if you want to be a Disney cast member. If you don’t know the answer to a question, you’ll have to call an operator and ask about it.
3. Whenever Disney employees see trash, they have to clean it
But they have to sweep it. Picking it up is not encouraged.
4. Disney cast members canot post anything about their role on social media
Because then it would be very, very obvious for us and then, where would be the magic?
5. Disney employees cannot grow and paint their nails
It’s so strict that they are perhaps even not allowed to think about it.
6. Every cast member has to go through an intense ‘signature training’.
This is to ensure that all the Disney characters have identical signatures. So much pain!
7. No cast member should have any visible tattoos
Perhaps because no Disney character ever had any liking of tattoos?
8. Everyone working at Disney goes by their first names
And the name tag also tells where they come from.
9. Disney employees have code words amongst themselves to keep things more comfy for the guests
For example, code V means someone’s about to throw up.
10. Every Disney cast member should commute through underground tunnels
This is how the characters reach everywhere and are all around the park.
11. All of the Disney cast should always stay ‘in the character’.
If someone asks them a question that is not related to the character or the Disney World, they have to act dumb.
12. All the Disney face characters have to appear the same.
This requires their heights and weights to be identical.
13. The cast members cannot chew gum, use cell phones or eat while working
Because? No Disney character chewed gums or had a cell phone, or ate?
14. Disney cast members should have facial hair properly groomed and they cannot dye their hair with any unnatural colors
Because the characters have naturally beautiful hair. And it should look the same way!
15. Disney cast members can wear glasses only of a certain type.
Beats me.
