Highlights for June; the all-new Marvel Universe sees Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez’s Civil War II, sequel to the game-changing Civil War mini-series and basis for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
“’Civil War’ was a seismic event that demanded the attention of existing fans and created new ones because it tapped into the most pressing question of its day,” says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso. “‘Civil War II’ will do the same.”
Bendis adds; “The original ‘Civil War’ is one of the most important Marvel comics ever, and we are all very excited to have come up with what we hope is a story worthy of the title. If you are scared of earth shattering Marvel events where no one is safe… be afraid, be very afraid.”
Also in June; Jessica Jones & Patsy Walker meet in the all-new Marvel Universe.
“In our world, Patsy and Jess are meeting for the first time, officially,” writer Kate Leth told Marvel of her “Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat” #7. “Jess has been hired to dig up dirt on Patsy by her old and current rival, Hedy Wolfe… In the process, Jess finds out more about Patsy than she expected, including her alter ego. As a super-powered investigator herself, you can imagine this complicates things for Jessica Jones!”
