Just thought I would post this and see what people think, if SOG wants to eventually do this pasta, that would also be great. :3

Today is the

start of my Pokémon journey. From this day forth, I am going to use

this journal to keep a record of what happens on this adventure. My

friend, Roger, and I are going to be travelling together to achieve

our dream. Roger seems more enthusiastic than I am, but that's

probably just my imagination. We went to go see Prof. Oak and we each

chose a Pokémon. I chose Squirtle and Roger chose Charmander. After

we were briefed on how the PokéDex worked, we were on our

way.

Halfway to Viridian City, Roger brought up the topic of a

certain Pokémon: MissingNo. He said he discovered it while looking

at one of Prof. Oak's open files and had become intrigued. A fight

started between us as to what it could do. According to Roger,

Missingno was able to make people disappear, whereas I tried to argue

that it was impossible that such a thing could even happen. After a

good few minutes of arguing back and forth, Roger made it clear that

he was dead set on finding this Pokémon and discovering what it was,

and possibly capturing it. When I questioned this idea, given the

information that Roger had brought up about disappearances; he

snapped at me. He told me angrily that he wanted to capture it. That

was the first time I had ever seen him angry, and it scared me a

bit.

September 4th, 2005

It's been a few days since I

recorded an entry, and so much has happened. We made it to the

Viridian Forest, and we set up camp for the first night of our

adventure. While we were making dinner, the topic of MissingNo. came

up again. After our first conversation, I was eager to drop the

subject but Roger wouldn't let that happen. He spoke of Cinnabar

Island, and that MissingNo. was there and he was going to find it.

When I asked why he was Hell-bent on finding this, he told me that he

had heard of the disappearance of young trainers. He went on to talk

about how they all went missing at Cinnabar Island, and how he wanted

to be the one to solve this mystery. As noble as this idea was and as

much as I wanted to back him on this quest of his, his constant talk

of how he was going to be the one to capture it began to feel...

obsessive to me. I was starting to become worried about his erratic

behaviour.

The next morning, we made it to Pewter City. Here

we checked out the museum, which housed prehistoric Pokémon. We

learned that one of them was Aerodactyl, and was a very rare fossil.

I felt this was my chance to sway Roger from his proclaimed quest. I

attempted to talk him into collecting fossils and finding a way to

get his own prehistoric Pokémon, but he got angry and yelled that he

wasn't going to quit looking for MissingNo., this time in a much

deeper and harsher tone.

Later that day, we attempted to take

the first badge from Brock. When he asked us why we wanted to battle

him, our replies differed. I said to become the champion of the

Pokémon League, whereas he said to get one step closer to MissingNo.

Brock looked with disbelief at Roger. He told us that we should stay

away from that Pokémon if we valued our lives. Roger growled at

Brock and told him he was wrong. After Brock explicitly told him that

this Pokémon was not to be sought after, Roger slapped him. This

sunk it for me, and I pulled him away from Brock. I took him outside

and scolded him, trying to point out once and for all that this quest

of his would be the worst decision her ever made. After an attempt at

driving my point and a heated argument, I took Roger to the Pokémon

Centre. After leaving him with Nurse Joy to watch him, I went to

battle Brock.

After acquiring my badge from Brock, I returned

to the Pokémon Centre. When I arrived, Roger wasn't there. Nurse Joy

apologised and explained that there were Pokémon that needed tending

to and she had to help them. Now worried more than ever, I sat in the

lobby trying to piece what was going on together. I knew he went to

Cinnabar Island, and I had to reach him before he found MissingNo;

but I couldn't just head straight there, I needed to think this

through. I weighed my options, questioning if I should go straight to

Cinnabar Island or not. I figured that I hadn't been battling Brock

that long and it took quite a while to reach Cinnabar Island. With

this in mind, I stayed at the Pokémon Centre overnight and headed

off to Mt. Moon the next day. I have since become lost in this

cave.

September 11th, 2005

Seven days have passed since

I have recorded in this journal. I am in a very bad situation. I have

yet to find my way out of Mt. Moon; nor have I found Roger. I have

been searching for a way out, unable to find the right area. During

this time, I grew more worried about Roger. I couldn't worry about

him, though. I had to fight my way through this cave. Squirtle and I

fought day and night; foraging for food and trying to find a way out.

The night of the tenth, we finally cleared an area to rest, and I

returned him to his Pokéball before trying to get some sleep. While

I was resting, a crunch was heard behind me.

My eyes opened

quickly, and I just laid there. I could hear a continuous thud

circling around me in the darkness. Could Roger have gotten lost in

here too, and have been trying to find me? I grabbed my flash light

and turned it on, only to find that there was nothing there. I sighed

in relief and went back to sleep, only now to hear mumbling of some

sort. It was distant, but audible. I got up and followed the sound to

a dead end in the cave. When I looked at the wall I had come to, I

shook my head. Surely my mind was playing tricks on me. When I turned

around, I saw the silhouette of a person against the wall.

I

questioned this silhouette and came to a startling conclusion. It

looked exactly like Roger's figure. Before I could try to find out

what it was, whatever cast this shadow pushed me against the wall. I

was able to shine the light on it to find it was Roger. I looked at

him, seeing his clothes were ripped. Confused as to why he was doing

this, I tried to talk to him and ask what was going on; but before I

could ask, he made a quick lunge at me. As he tried to grab me I was

able to escape and bolt past him. I ran down the corridors of the

cave, trying to find a way out. After I came to an open area, I

turned and flashed the light around. No sign of him. I was safe, for

the time being. I looked at my watch; it said ten-fifty pm. Although

I tried to sleep again, I was unable to. What happened wouldn't stop

popping into my head.

The next morning, I found the exit to

the cave, and headed to Cerulean City, where I stopped by the Pokémon

Centre. While there, I tried asking around about Roger. When I asked,

I was told by two elderly people that yesterday, at around ten-thirty

pm, a boy matching Roger's description disappeared from Cinnabar

Island. My eyes widened. If he disappeared at that time, who was it

that attacked me last night... And why did they look like Roger?

September 17th, 2005.

I have been through quite a bit

of stress lately. I have been trying to figure out what happened in

the cave that night; as well as what happened to Roger. The day after

I had heard about Roger, I went to challenge Misty. After a tough

battle, I was able to prevail; although my mind was clouded because

of this whole situation. I was surprised I could even get through

round one. After the victory, I decided to stay in town for the few

days and do some research on MissingNo. I contacted Prof. Oak, and

requested he send the exact files that Roger had seen. When he asked

why, I told him about my experience I had in the cave. He told me to

be careful with how deep I dug and told me not to go in search of

MissingNo. I wasn't going to go after this thing, I simply wanted to

do some research to prepare myself in case I came into contact with

it.

After two sleepless nights of research, I barely made any

headway. Although the clues were right in front of me, I couldn't

understand what I was reading. The first report I read stated that

MissingNo. was an escaped lab project from Cinnabar Island. I wasn't

sure if I could believe it, so I decided to look further into the

matter. After more study, I was approached with another theory that

it has possibly existed since the beginning of time. I don't know

what to believe, but two things caught my eye. I read an article

stating that this Pokémon was apparently able to make people

disappear; confirming what Roger had told me the day our journey

began. I also read that it could have different forms. I began to

really wonder what happened in Mt. Moon that night. Although, at this

point, I wasn't ready to believe that what had attacked me wasn't

Roger; so I decided to leave the matter alone for now.

With

this information in hand, I decided to get some well needed sleep.

The day before I wrote this entry, I traveled to the next town:

Vermilion City. After defeating Lt. Surge, I overheard from a group

of trainers on my way out about the cruise upon the S.S. Anne. I had

been put through a lot of stress lately, and a cruise sounded like

the perfect way to relax. After boarding the S.S. Anne, I went to my

room; but not before having a Pokémon battle with the sailors. After

the battle, my Squirtle evolved into a Wartortle. After I returned my

newly evolved Pokémon to its Pokéball, I laid on the bed. Sadly, my

peace was about to be abruptly broken.

That night, I was

awoken by a thump. I looked around my room, and saw nothing. I

shrugged, thinking that the ship was old, so noises were expected. It

sounded far away, so I figured someone walking around down the hall.

I slowly drifted back to sleep. That was, until I heard the same

thump; even closer this time. I once again rose up and looked around

once more. I then heard a knocking at my door. I sighed, slowly

stumbled to the door. I asked who it was. No one answered. I asked

again, and once again, no answer.

I just stood there for

about a minute, not even moving. Another knock. This time I had had

enough. I opened the door, and in came Roger, his clothes the same as

they were in Mt. Moon; but this time, part of his face looked all...

static-like, like it was just light constantly blinking in and out.

He pushed me onto the bed, and as soon as I fell onto the bed, he was

on top of me, choking me. I couldn't believe what was going on. Why

was Roger here and why was he trying to kill me? I didn't have time

to answer this right now. I struggled with Roger, and was finally

getting him off me. I ran and grabbed my bag, made for the door, and

ran into the hall. I had to get out of here before I was caught by

him again! I made my way out onto the deck, but was stopped as I

reached the end of the ship.

I turned around to see Roger

right there behind me. Startled, I fell back over the railing. As I

looked up at Roger looming over me, I heard one of the sailors whom I

had battled earlier. I told them to get away before Roger attacked

them, but they just asked who I was talking about. Couldn't they see

Roger? I yelled up that he was standing at the rail I was hanging on,

but they stayed silent. What was going on!? Before I could pull

myself up, Roger smirked evilly and kicked my hands. I fell into the

ocean and the ship sailed away. I don't remember much after that. I

must have blacked out.

September 24th, 2005

I have had

to replace my previous journal due to what has happened. When I woke

up, all I saw was sea and the endless sky on the horizon. I turned

around to see I was in a town, but where could I be that was

surrounded completely by water? It hit me. I was on Cinnabar Island!

This was where Roger disappeared! I could finally figure out what

happened to my friend. I smiled and walked to the Pokémon Centre,

deciding that I needed to get some rest before looking for my friend

once again.

While there, I decided to do some digging around.

I asked Nurse Joy about Roger, as well as this mysterious Pokémon,

MissingNo. She said a boy matching Roger's description was there on

the tenth, he was seen heading towards the shoreline on the east side

of town. I thanked her for the help and departed for the shoreline.

When I arrived, I didn't see much; I saw the water-type Pokémon all

playing together, a few swimmers playing with their own Pokémon, but

no sign of this Missingno. I sighed in dismay and decided to hang out

for a while, and watch the sunset.

As the sun set, I thought

back to the research I had read that Prof. Oak sent me. As I thought

about it, I tried thinking of a plan. I couldn't just approach this

Pokémon like the others, I needed a strategy. Suddenly, I heard a

sound behind me, and turned to look. There, once again, stood Roger;

or so I thought. The darkness of the coming evening shrouded his

face, and I had to get up to get a closer look. I was horrified. Half

of his entire face looked like static. I let out a scream. Officer

Jenny must have heard my scream, because she came bolting right over.

When she asked what the problem was, I told her to look behind her.

When she did, she said nothing was there. My eyes widened. It was

just like on the S.S. Anne; whatever stood in front of me was somehow

not able to be seen by the others. She scolded me for causing a

disturbance and walked off. I was now face to face with Roger, or

what had been using his body to torment me. My heart began to race

faster than I thought possible.

I asked who or what it was,

and it stayed silent; not even a sound. The fact that after all this

I couldn't even be given a reason angered me and I exploded into

rage. I knew this wasn't Roger; but then, who was this before me?

Without even thinking, I tossed out Wartortle in an attempt to stall

for time while I thought of a plan. Whatever it was didn't toss out a

Pokémon, and smirked. I asked why it didn't throw out one of its

own, and was told I hadn't thrown one out.

I looked at it,

growling. How did I not toss one out when I just tossed out

Wartortle? Then it hit me, I looked at the Pokéball that laid open

in the sand; it was empty. I fell to my knees, reaching for the

Pokéball, and holding it in my hands. Where had my Pokémon, my only

friend left, gone? I looked at the person in front of me in tears. It

finally hit me. This was it. This was what took Roger from me;

MissingNo. I turned, bolting away and trying to run. I ran down the

shoreline until I got to the edge of the island. This was it... I had

no where left to run. I heard a crunch behind me, and turned. I was

face to face with the monster that had tormented me for all this

time, but I couldn't move. I watched as it slowly came closer. With

nowhere left to run, I was finished. I fell to my knees, just staring

as my imminent doom approached. As it came closer, I thought back to

what happened throughout this adventure, from start to end; and with

every inch that closed the gap between us, everything faded to black.
