This presentation was created by Werner B. Koldehoff on behalf on the German Solar Industry Association. It gives the German view of the American solar energy industry, with a focus on solar thermal and its market potential in the US.
The presentation calls solar thermal energy the “under-valued” renewable energy source, and notes its successes in Germany and the EU. Looking at the Americas, the presentation displays how Brazil is the largest solar thermal market even though North America has great potential as well, and saw an increase in solar thermal installations in 2010. The presentation uses examples from Florida and Canada to press its case.
