i”M consdierng making an info page about the aus bc i know there’s still some confusion and i understand if u dont wanna go thru all the tags in my scene kid au tag to get all the info but the sdr2 kids are scene and the dr1 kids are punk/pastel goth! it’s just an au called scene kid au, which is a bit confusing i’ms orry

ahhh plEASE i encourage you to just draw/depict them however you want!! there’s no set wardrobe, and the fashion code is pretty straightforward, and i have drawn/doodled every sdr2 kid so you can get an idea at least., i’m srory but you have to understand that doing reference sheets is boring, tedious work for someone who’s more interested in poses and actions and other stuff.. thank you so so much for your interest in this silly little au but it’s honestly so loosely established and jjust do whatever you want with it haha (´・ω・)っ由

HI!! yeah i’m sorry i didn’t do a very good job of drawing the lights in motion;; if you check the captions of the post (sometimes captions dont show up unless you adjust the size of your browser window a bit, it’s annoying;) komaeda is doing something called gloving! it’s like glowsticking, but you wear gloves that have little lights at the tips of the fingers. the video doesn’t do it justice, it’s really one of those things you have to have a couple inches from your face to get the full effect. gloving and glowsticking are popular in rave culture (and by extension in scene culture) because the moving lights create a trippy, entrancing effect.
it takes a lot of coordination and practice to do well. hope that answers ur q!
it’s so so so circumstantial. if i get a request and i get an idea i like a lot, if i happen to get the request at the right time, or if i just feel up to it, then i’ll do it; otherwise, i won’t. i’m amazed and astounded to say that i get enough requests that i can only take a small fraction of them these days.
what i mean is, if it’s something i would’ve liked to draw anyway had i gotten the idea by myself, i will take the request.
i’ll be opening commissions soon, though! so that’s the best way to guarantee i’ll draw a thing.

hEY that’s great, i don’t think you should feel bad at all about any phase you went through! things like that are just part of figuring out who you are, y’know? you try on different clothes and attitudes and listen to different music and hang out with different people and whatever to learn more about yourself; it might just seem like an awkward unnecessary thing, but even if all you learned was “yeah no this phase definitely isn’t for me in the long-term” you still learned something about yourself.

Hajime! (you might be a new follower and not know this, but when i write speech bubbles for characters i match the color of the speech bubble to something associated with them (in this case, hinata’s eyes), and write their font a certain way (in this case, narrow smallcaps). he’s old enough in modern au to have his driver’s permit, if not his license. n_n
i’ll leave that up to you, anons! if u wanna think anyone’s dating anyone then by golly they are go crazy ok every pairing at oNCE

he’s still komaeda, he’s still got his terrible luck and bad health and still says weird things and seems a bit off, but.. everything less severely, since this is a non-despair au. a komaeda that’s allowed to grow up as a normal teenager, a komaeda who didn’t have their life torn apart so badly, didn’t become obsessed with unobtainable ideals, never felt the pressure to try and kill someone like he felt in chapter 1.

YEAH during the academic school year most of my drawings start as doodley thumbnails on the sides of my notes, definitely keep drawing in class! i started drawing again about 2 1/2 years ago, after taking a ~3 year hiatus because i got really hooked on performance dance.
draw as much as u can and try all sorts of different things!
