I really enjoy trying new recipes and finding easy yet yummy recipes to enjoy for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a busy Mom sometimes I want things that are easy to make, good to eat, with a quick and easy clean up. So I was excited to learn about a new cookbook by Camilla V Saulsbury called 250 Best Meals in a Mug!  This cookbook is packed with so many amazing and delicious recipes that you can make in a mug via the microwave in minutes.

Meals in a mug are a perfect solution for those needing a quick dinner while solo dining!  They are also quick and easy options for busy people. I love being able to make these while we need to run out of the house for t-ball games and practice. Not only was it easy to make but the mug makes it easy to take along and eat on the go.  Most of the recipes are also very budget-friendly, so if you are trying to save money, waste less food, and work on portion control this would be a great cookbook for you!

One thing that I can really appreciate about this cookbook is that the recipes are very easy to follow, have wonderful step by step directions. Above is a photo of the French Toast recipes from page 85. An amazing Breakfast idea that you can make in a mug. Not only do they have the French Toast recipe listed above but they also have, Banana Bread, Almond Flour Muffin, Green Onion Bread, Zucchini Bread, Apple Cinnamon Bread, Boston Brown Bread and many many more.

There is a great section in the book called – Fast & Easy 4-Ingredients or Less – this section has some yummy options like, Pumpkin Sage Soup, Pesto Chicken Couscous and more. And who doesn’t love Dessert. I know that I do, but one thing that I really hate is having to make a huge cake or a large batch of cookies or cupcakes because I want to keep eating them. So Mug Deserts are the perfect solution to my problem. They have some great ones like Sugar Cookie, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Blueberry Dumpling, Bananas Foster, Lemon Pudding Cake, Butterscotch Blondie, Panna Cotta and more.

This cookbook also has many full page color photos so that you can see how yummy and delicious some of the recipes will be. They make me so hungry looking at them. This book is 312 pages, and was released this month (March 2014) with a suggested retail price of $24.95 its a must have in any cookbook collection.  These recipes would be great for making while camping and in an RV, or at lunch!
