Snowflake Designs was recently featured in the The Clovis RoundUp, and the article spotlights the growth, quality and spirit of the Snowflake Designs  - and we couldn't be more pleased! You can read the full article from the Clovis RoundUp online, but here's a quick highlight.

Where it All Began

LaDonna Snow, founder of Snowflake Designs, started the company 29 years ago when she started making leotards for her then 2-year-old daughter.

Moms would ask where she bought her daughter's leotards, and when they found out that LaDonna made them herself, the orders started coming in, and a business was born.

When the business first started, LaDonna sold her leotards from a rack in the back of her van. Parents would stop her to purchase the beautiful leotards she had created.

The business really took off once Snowflake Designs hit the internet and began selling nationally and internationally.

What's in a Name?

The name Snowflake Designs was inspired by a play on LaDonna's last name.

When a friend said that they would "have a bunch of little snowflakes running around", LaDonna thought of her two daughters, her "little snowflakes" and the name stuck.

Snowflake Designs Today

Snowflake Designs has expanded over the years and now sells gymnastics leotards, competition leotards, warm up suits, custom athletic clothing, and accessories to individuals as well as teams, for gymnastics, dance, baton, skating and much more.

LaDonna manages the business in addition to designing leotards, but these days she has help from her daughter, Kindra, and another designer, Kanako, who help to create and design the leotards.

Snowflake Designs now has 35 employees, Ebay and Amazon online stores, and distributors in the United States as well as several foreign countries.

Snowflake also has a big following on social media, with a presence on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr, so be sure to follow them for all the latest news and designs!

Snowflake Designs has grown quite a bit since the "back of the van" days, but LaDonna's commitment to stellar customer service and distinctive high quality products at a great value remain top priorities. Snowflake takes great pride in serving customers and clients as friends, in the store, on the phone, or online.

LaDonna also believes in giving back to the community that has given her so much. Her family has resided in Clovis, CA for the past 30 years, and Snowflake Designs donates to the Clovis Marjaree Mason Center, Clovis Schools Foundation and the Salvation Army.

Snowflake Designs is located at 2893 Larkin Avenue in Clovis, California - if you're in the area, stop by, take a look, and say hi!
