The Salish Lodge and Spa in Snoqualmie again earned AAA’s Four Diamond award.
This is the 25th consecutive year it has received the prestigious ranking.
The Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa in Kirkland also has been on the list for a quarter century. The longest running AAA Four Diamond establishment in Washington is the Westin Seattle Hotel.
Thirty-one lodgings and 10 restaurants are represented on the AAA Four Diamond Award list in Washington and northern Idaho this year. The Herbfarm Restaurant (Woodinville) earned a coveted AAA Five Diamond rating for the 13th consecutive year and remains the only Five Diamond establishment in the Pacific Northwest.
“These establishments set the standard for exceptional hospitality and attention to detail,” Jennifer Cook, AAA Washington’s senior manager of corporate communications, said in a news release. “We’re honored to recognize the dedicated AAA Four and Five Diamond properties in our local community that consistently deliver high quality service and strive to create memorable experiences for their guests.”
A total of 2,417 hotels and restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean received a AAA Four Diamond Rating in 2015. The list of AAA Five Diamond establishments includes 121 hotels and 63 restaurants, which represents less than 1 percent of the AAA/CAA Approved and Diamond Rated hotels and restaurants.
AAA inspectors collectively visit 58,000 hotels and restaurants throughout the year to conduct physical, on-site evaluations. Celebrating 79 years of the AAA Diamond rating program, inspectors are able to distinguish emerging trends within the hospitality industry and identify new approaches to enhance guest comfort and satisfaction.
