Marketing Manager, Alex of Suffolk, always dreamed of the perfect smile. Alex was introduced to Smile Design by Ash in its first year of opening by Frances Furlong of Perfect Skin. She had always been concerned with her upper teeth which had been bothering her since she was a child. “I had a chipped front tooth that I had been having fixed and redone every few years with a white filling since I was seven years old and I wanted to find a permanent solution that looked natural. I also felt that my teeth either side of my big teeth were too short.”
Alex had many concerns when it came to making a decision on whether to go ahead with treatment. The biggest of all was the end result. “I really appreciated that not once did I ever feel pressured to proceed with any form of treatment I was unsure about – or rushed in any way to make a decision and financial commitment I wasn’t confident about or didn’t understand. In fact I mulled over it for two years!”
After some long discussions, Alex and Ash decided the best way to design the natural smile Alex longed for was to create a Smile Makeover using porcelain veneers. Alex first visited Jessica the hygienist for professional gum cleaning, helping to maintain the healthy foundation needed before the exciting treatment began. Ash then went on to artistically reshape Alex’s squarish teeth using cosmetic contouring to create a more feminine look.
Alex then had affordable teeth whitening by Philips ZOOM to brighten her smile. Once all the preparation work had been completed, Ash used dental veneers to strengthen Alex’s damaged tooth and make the beautiful smile Alex dreamed of.
“I was nervous sometimes, especially for my long appointment to have my temporary veneers fitted. I called and had a chat to Cheryl (practice manager) and it was so helpful to be able to chat to someone who had been through the same process and could relate to exactly how I was feeling and put my mind at ease. Also the practice environment is very calming in itself”.
