Beaches, especially those in the Philippines, are a whole lot of fun. After all, who can resist surfing the glassy waves, riding a glass-bottom boat from one reef to another, or going in circles with a jetski? But, sometimes, all you want to do is drop down a nice water slide and into a pool with a big splash.

Spot.ph rounds up 10 water parks in our country from a simple three-storey slide to an exciting water bowl. Happy splashing!

The latest addition to the eco-friendly Astoria Palawan is a one-hectare water park that can provide endless fun for adults and children. It has a Surf's Up Pool which produces waves in six varying settings, the St. Paul River Ride which goes around the entire water park, three types of slides at the Velocity Aqua Slides, and Vortex Slides where you can experience a different kind of rush while being swirled and splashed in corkscrew-like slides. The little ones can experience the same thing in a smaller (and safer) version at the Tumbling Buckets Kidzone.

2. Aquaria Water Park

If you don't want to go far from Manila but are still itching for a water-filled adventure, then Aquaria, only three hours away from the Metro, should suit you. It is a tropical wonderland with 525 meters of fine white sand, cove pools, a sunken pool bar, and its highlight: a three-storey high pool slide. Inflatables are by twos, which makes the giant slide a perfect activity for thrill-seeking couples.

CML Beach Resort and Water Park was opened in 2014 by Batangueño Casiana Mayuga Latti, who has always dreamt of settling down on an island and setting up a kubo by the beach. A full-service resort isn't exactly the same thing, but it now provides a beachside respite whenever her family comes home from Dubai. CML also features an infinity pool fronting the sea and a big pool connected to a three-storey water slide. Both pools are just less than four feet, making them safe for kids.

4. Bluejaz Beach Resort and Water Park

Samal Island (a.k.a. Island Garden City of Samal)âwith its vanishing islets, marine sanctuaries, and pristine beachesâis a paradise on its own. What better way to enjoy this tropical island than with a breathtaking stunt down the Sea Slide that goes straight to the sea. You also have the option to enter a water tube and let it take you through its circles and curves until you plunge into a big pool.

5. Coolwaves Ranch and Water Park Resort

Opened in 2007, Coolwaves Ranch and Water Park Resort features two wave pools, one of which is a 150-meter Raging River where guests can just wind down and relax while riding an inflatable around the property. You can also enjoy a fish spa for 15 minutes while waiting on the sidelines for your turn at the giant slides.
