"I’ve never denied it naman, e. Never pinpointed on anyone. All I wanted is to protect Ellie. Kasi ayoko talagang pag-usapan. Siguro yung mga times I didn’t answer directly or straightforwardly, it’s all because I was trying to protect Ellie," the newbie actor said in an exclusive interview with Pep.ph. "Actually, it’s very relieving na ngayon napag-uusapan ko na siya very openly. I mean, hindi naman deserve ni Ellie na, you know, na itago. Never ko naman siyang ikinahiya, e," Jake added. It's the first time Jake directly acknowledged that he is indeed the four-year-old's biological father. He said he found out only a year ago via a DNA test.

But even before confirming the fact, Jake had been spending time with and posting photos of him and Ellie on social media. He did admit, though, that he was surprised about the DNA test result. "But I’m happy and I have no regrets. Since her conception, nasa tiyan pa lang siya ni Andi, I was there. I’ve been there ever since," Jake emphasized, adding that he's more motivated now, more responsible in a way, also because he found that his life has a whole new meaning: being a father to Ellie. As for his relationship with Andi, he said they're still not in good terms and stressed that there's no chance they will ever get back together. (pep.ph)

To mark baby Zia's 11th month, her proud parents posted photos of their unica hija on Instagram -- and in costume since Halloween is almost here! "Mahal ko, hindi ako mag sasawang titigan ka araw araw, at kahit kailan di ako mapapagod na alagan ka. I love you Anak!" wrote mom Marian as caption to a photo of baby Zia in a fairy costume, which she wore to Bianca Gonzalez and JC Intal's daughter's first birthday party a few weeks back. Dad Dingdong Dantes also posted a photo of his mag-ina, with baby Zia dressed in an adorable Snow White costume which Marian made herself (just like the fairy costume). "Halloween is my second favorite holiday next to Christmas. Here she is embracing it on her 11th month. Good job on the costume, Mommy!" he wrote. Dingdong shared that Zia wore this when she attended her first Halloween party, which unfortunately Dingdong missed due to his taping schedule. He is hoping, though, he can join his daughter's first trick or treat. Dingdong said he had an Alyas Robin Hood costume made for his little girl. We can't wait to see her wear it! Happy 11th month, Zia! (pep.ph)

3. How Zsa Zsa Padilla and Conrad Onglao reconciled
According to Thelma Sioson-San Juan of Inquirer.net, Zsa Zsa and Conrad crossed paths one afternoon and saw it as a chance to talk, something they never got to do when the breakup reports went public. It was during that long talk that the couple decided that they would give their relationship another chance, but this time, very privately. "We know that privacy is the luxury we want to enjoy," Conrad told Sioson. Since the split, Conrad had been vocal that Zsa Zsa has been "the best thing that ever happened" to him. It turns out the breakup news happened "barely a month before they were to get married, and after Conrad had gifted Zsa Zsa with a 'promise' Cartier ring and an engagement ring." It is not yet clear if the wedding will push through at all. (inquirer.net)

4. New boats for Pasig River Ferry Service
The Pasig River Ferry service inaugurated yesterday at the Guadalupe Ferry Station in Makati City two new boats which have been added to its fleet. The new ferries, which can accommodate 15 passengers, are a welcome addition to the 12-boat fleet that operate in ferry terminals in Pinagbuhatan and San Joaquin in Pasig City; Guadalupe and Valenzuela in Makati City; Hulo in Mandaluyong City; PUP Sta. Mesa, Sta. Ana, Lambingan, Lawton, Escolta, and Plaza Mexico, all in Manila. Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) general manager Thomas Orbos urged the public to support the ferry service, the only water-based form of transportation in the Metro, which will hopefully extend its services to Marikina and Rizal. The Pasig River Ferry service was reopened in 2015 as an alternative means of transportation for about 500 passengers daily. Operating hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and fares range from P30 to P95. (spot.ph)

5. Baby "born" twice, one was for life-saving surgery

[twitter:https://twitter.com/people/status/789609743102902272]

Baby Lynlee Boemer weighed just one pound and three ounces when doctors removed a tumor from her body that weighed almost as much as she did. To do this, doctors took her out of her mother's womb at 23 weeks gestation for a life-saving surgery, after which, she was placed her back. Mom Margaret first found out about her baby's sacrococcygeal teratoma, a type of tumor that develops at the base of the tailbone and occurs in one out of every 40,000 pregnancies, when she was 16 weeks pregnant.

After the complicated surgery and a delicate recovery, Margaret was able to carry her baby girl for another 12 weeks. Baby Lynlee was born on June 6, at 36 weeks and five days gestation. She weighed five pounds and five ounces at her "second birth," and “She was able to grow and thrive and her heart had time to heal,” Margaret shared. When Lynlee was just eight days old, doctors had to perform another surgery to remove the remaining tumor, and she remained in the NICU for another 24 days. Now, Lynlee is meeting all her developmental milestones as her parents continue to monitor her spine. (people.com)
