The new mom received keepsakes from her doula Irina Otmakhova. One was a placenta print art by Irina and another was the preserved umbilical cord of her baby Pablo, shaped like a heart. The gift package also came with tea, Irina's own concoction, homemade perineal care balm and encapsulated placenta, which Paula says are beneficial to new moms. "Some benefits include replenishment of iron levels, reduction of post-natal bleeding, milk production increase, help in postpartum depression, etc. Look it up," she wrote in the caption. We're glad to see Paula's postnatal care is going well.

3. Snow White is getting a live-action reboot
Another Disney classic is coming to life. Its first animated feature film-turned-live-action movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is currently in negotiations with Erin Cressida Wilson (The Girl in the Train) for scriptwriting while Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land) are already on board to write new music for the new Snow White movie. This follows the current movie trend of the House of Mouse, reinventing its classic animated films into live-action ones. Snow White has no release date yet. Next on the pipeline, however, is the live-action reboots of Beauty and the Beast, to be released on March 2017, and Mulan on November 18. (eonline.com)

4. New museum dedicated to fairy tale writer in the works
Denmark plans to build a new museum in honor of Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen, author of The Ugly Duckling and The Little Mermaid. It is planned to rise in his birthplace in Odense and would complement the existing museum in the area, which charts Andersen's personal life and travels. The new museum would focus more on the magic of his fairy tales, which has been translated into 160 languages. It will provide "a unique possibility to create Andersen's fairytale universe in a way that will appeal to both children and adults," said a local cultural official, Jane Jegind. (gmanetwork.com)

5. A male birth control pill found effective but has side effects
A study found that a new hormonal birth control shot for men was effective in preventing pregnancy in female partners, but it also recorded side effects, cutting the study short. The study, co-sponsored by the United Nations and published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, tested the safety and effectiveness of a contraceptive shot in 320 healthy men ages 18 to 45, all tested to have a normal sperm count and are in monogamous relationships with female partners. Participants reported 1,491 "adverse events" that included injection site pain, muscle pain, increased libido, acne, depression and other mood disorders. The side effects are similar to what women get when they are on the pill. After the shots stopped, most of the men returned to fertility during a recovery period. Overall, 20 men dropped out early due to side effects. (cnn.com)
