Leading online gateway payment provider iPay88 Sdn Bhd (iPay88) continues its winning streak with more awards this year. Two of iPay88’s founders cum executive directors, Chan Kok Long and Lim Kok Hing, have jointly been shortlisted for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ (EOY) 2016 Malaysia – Technology Entrepreneur category.

Marking its 30th year milestone globally in 2016, the EOY awards program recognises entrepreneurs who have inspired, empowered and reshaped the world with their creativity and foresight to inject a vibrant optimism into markets – creating jobs, improving communities, growing the economy and therefore, building a better working world. The Malaysian EOY winners will be announced on 8th December 2016.

Earlier this year, iPay88 was also the recipient of the Malaysian e-Payments Excellence Awards 2016 – as Top FPX Acquirer (Non-Bank category), awarded by Bank Negara subsidiary, the Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation (MyClear).

This award recognises the outstanding achievements for excellent performance in  e-Payments efforts  by banks, businesses and government agencies.

Lim said, “As the Top FPX Acquirer award recipient, iPay88 will continue in its contribution to the market – as outlined in the National eCommerce Strategic Roadmap which is to doubling the eCommerce growth of the country to 20.8%, to touch a GDP of RM170 Billion by Year 2020.

Winning the Bank Negara MyClear award validates iPay88’s role since 2012 as a top Third Party Acquirer who is entrusted by the banks – as a single contact point for banks and financial institutions, to sign up good merchants for them after performing the necessary credit and risk assessment.”

Meanwhile, iPay88 was also recognised as one of the winners of the inaugural Malaysia Digital Business Awards (MDBA) 2016 – a platform to honour outstanding businesses which are making waves in the Digital Business Community as one of the catalysts and disruptors of change.
