MEDFORD, OR
(ANS) – theDoveTV (KDOV-LP) has been honored to receive National Religious Broadcasters Low Power Station of the Year Award. “We are humbled and at the same time very excited by this recognition, particularly since were selected in 2012 as well.” said President of theDoveTV Perry Atkinson. “It’s been our desire to create a new model for Christian television in America; a family-friendly TV station that attracts viewers from all generations and walks of life. Receiving this award two times in our four year existence is remarkable and validates what we are doing.”

According to a news release, the NRB decision was based on a thorough review and judging by the NRB Television committee. theDoveTV was praised for its innovative and creative programming and a daily coverage of local news.

The miracle story behind theDoveTV is that theDoveRadio audience donated all the necessary funds to build theDoveTV debt-free. In just four years since launching, theDoveTV is now seen on UHF channel 44, Charter Cable Channel 18 in Jackson and Josephine Counties, and Channel 89 in Klamath County, on Ashland Home Net Channel 97, on mobile app and on Roku, plus streaming 24/7 at www.thedove.us.

“It’s a great acknowledgment of the terrific programs and features you see on theDoveTV,” said Atkinson. “We are thankful to our viewers and listeners for allowing theDove to be acknowledged in this way.”

theDoveTV will receive the award on February 25 at the 2014 NRB’s International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN.

Note from Dan Wooding. I have had the pleasure of appearing on theDoveTV with Perry Atkinson, via Skype from my Southern California home, and I would like to say that this award is thoroughly deserved by Perry and his dedicated team.
