Slideluck II brings Savannah artists together for night of food and collaboration

In the summer of 2000, Seattle-based artist Casey Kelbaugh decided to host a backyard gathering with about 50 of his closest artist friends.

The goal was to get artists out of their darkrooms and studios for collaboration and cross-pollination, coming together to create and celebrate what each had to offer.

In 2003, when Kelbaugh made the move to Brooklyn, he brought Slideluck with him to the East Village. By 2006, Slideluck drew upwards of 1,000 people, and Kelbaugh enlisted the help of Alys Kenny to produce and co-direct the organization and as we say, the rest is history.

Slideluck has made its way to Savannah again, the second year our city is hosting the event.
