# DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
**Location:** Beijing \- China
The Senior DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the Schlumberger Software Technology organization, responsible for the Schlumberger digital technology initiatives\. As the oil and gas industry’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management, and information solutions to customers’ worldwide, Schlumberger digital technology development and management plays a key role in driving the oilfield service industry’s digital technology transformation\. This position reports to the Project Manager\.
**Responsibility**
+ Maintains and continuously improves the Continuous Delivery pipeline\. Ensures the baseline is always coherent, and quality clearly assessed and reported \(automated tests, code quality…\)\.
+ Participates in the design of cloud deployment architecture\. Drives continuous improvement into the product, process, and technology through gap analysis and solution design\. Uses Quality Management Tools and quality indicators e\.g\. code coverage, duplication and other static code analysis methods\. Produces automated reports of metrics and services health\.
+ Oversights and accountability for performance in incident management, software deployment, and hardware build\-out in a 24X7X365 environment\. Cuts minutes off outages\. Manages technical response during critical incidents\.
+ Administers build/test virtual machines, makes sure all environments and services are consistent, up to date, and healthy, using automation and monitoring\.
+ Manages dependencies and components \(internal or external\) with architects, using modern and industry standard package managers\.
+ Ensures code and data are protected, and more generally that company cloud security policies are applied properly\. Ensures we follow the company application lifecycle management \(ALM\) process\.
+ Creates and maintains up\-to\-date documentation related to continuous delivery, branching and release strategy\. Provides or contributes to guidelines, policies and strategies, and enforce them\.
+ Supports and collaborates with developers and QA and their working environment on daily basis, including distributed teams in other countries\. Understands architecture, design, and implementation of all the layers and components of the platform, and can act as a developer\.
+ Desires to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment with minimal direct supervision\.
+ Drives operational plan and expectations alignment across major stakeholders\.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar\.
+ Operations Experience in a 24 x 7 x 365 web cloud environment\.
+ Demonstrated strategic thinking, quantitative and analytical skills, team leadership, and collaboration\.
+ Excellent problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills\.
+ Excellent written and oral English communication skills required\. Able to communicate to a variety of audiences including engineers, executive management and customers\.
+ Experience managing high volume web services, Windows Server, and virtualization in a complex, high availability environment\.
+ Experience managing scalable networks with a deep understanding of enterprise networks, TCP/IP, diagnosing network faults\.
+ Understands concepts like continuous integration, continuous deployment, DevOps
+ Understands Build Environments : experience with TeamCity or similar tools \(Jenkins, Go\)
+ Source Code Management systems : Git experience required, with good branch understanding
+ Scripting languages : PowerShell experience required
+ Desired State Configuration \(DSC\), Puppet, Chef
+ Understands ASP\.NET Web API, JavaScript, AngularJS and similar front\-end technologies
+ Understands web and cloud security\-related aspects
+ Understands Test Harnesses \(e\.g\.MSTest, Karma, Protractor, Selenium\)
+ Good knowledge of operating system administration \(Windows 2012\) using automation
+ Code quality management systems \(e\.g\. SonarQube\)
+ Has experience with virtualization technologies \(Hyper\-V, VMWare\)
+ Understands packaging technologies \(e\.g\. NuGet, NPM\)
+ Better have experience on the Cloud \(Azure/AWS/Google/OpenStack\) design or deployment
