# Mobility Solutions Lead Architect

**Job Description:**
Schlumberger IT Transformation team has an opening in Houston, Texas for a **Mobility Solutions Lead Architect** drives the current and future technical solution across a range of mobile applications, solutions and technologies that contribute to a common set of business objectives\. The Mobility Solutions Lead Architect owns and communicates the architectural vision of the product or solution with which he/she is involved and provides guidance and context to the products under his/her supervision\. The Mobility Solutions Lead Architect will implement state of the art mobile technologies to provide high value mobile solutions to the global SLB organization
The Mobility Solutions Lead Architect must have experience with mobile systems, development platforms, integration methodologies, and broad, detailed knowledge of mobile technologies and industry trends\.
**Responsibilities:**
The candidate may work on any of the following:
+ Reports to the Mobility Technology Manager
+ Functionally supervises Software Engineers & Lead Software Developers
+ Review code and project deliverables and ensure conformance to industry best practices
+ Troubleshoots applications to help fix bugs and performance issues
+ Rapidly prototypes and POC key application features
+ Ensures appropriate consistency of mobile solutions, systems and solutions architecture across multiple projects, as appropriate
+ Participates in defining the vision and technology roadmap for mobile solutions that operates within the segment strategy and assumes responsibility for issues of software and IT developments for executing this roadmap\.
+ Participates in all major architecture and design decisions that affect the systems produced in the business domains\.
+ Interfaces with architects on related systems under supervision of segment architects to ensure the system architecture fits within the overall product roadmaps, and define interfaces for information exchange with other systems/software\.
+ Develops, implements and owns technology standards for both mobile hardware and software\. \(estimating, architecture, development platform, design, development, testing, deployment\)
+ Coordinates design and integrity among system elements as they are being developed; recognize when interface impacts might occur and taking early action to avoid problems\.
+ Generates the highest level of system requirements, based on stakeholder needs, the segment technology roadmap and other constraints such as cost and schedule; this in collaboration with the Product Champion as the primary owner of system requirements\.
+ Performs technical risk management on the product line or system level\.
+ Author/co\-authors technical papers\.
**Qualifications:**
**Education:**
BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science 6\-12 years experience
MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science 4\-10 years experience in software development
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and 4\-8 years experience\.
**Experience:**
+ 10\+ years experience in software development
+ Strong Experience with mobile application development including iOS, Android
+ Strong Experience with Cross Platform Mobile Development in Xamarin
+ Knowledge of the mobile ecosystem including MDM, Analytics, and MBaas platforms
+ Ability to create and consume complex bindings for both iOS and Android\.
+ Expertise in creating native offline enabled Mobile applications: Objective\-C; C\#; \.NET, Java, using SQLite & Webservices / data transport Core Data \(XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services\)
+ Sound theoretical skills \(e\.g\. complexity measures\) algorithm, data structures and software design patterns
+ Knowledge of enterprise grade authentication protocols \(for example SAML, Kerberos, SSO, Certificate auth\)
+ Innovative thinker, able to envision how mobile technology can be implemented to solve complex hardware and software challenges
+ Experience in integration with Azure or Google mobile application cloud platforms
+ Experience with agile development methodology
+ Visionary and innovative thinker willing to push the limits of existing technology and implement new cutting edge solutions\.
+ Ability to manage and coordinate major complex projects/services \(or multiple projects/services\)
+ Customer focused and communicates effectively with stakeholders
+ Strong understanding of mobility technological fields and business needs
