Local culinary culture hasn’t been this buzzed since Chowderfest, but this time, hopefully, you won’t feel a rock congealing in your intestines an hour after eating. It’s Restaurant Week in Saratoga, which means you better start planing, pushing aside work, and making some reservations for half-priced three course meals.
The way this works is that in Saratoga Springs and the greater Saratoga area (Ballston Spa, Wilton, Malta, etc.) choice restaurants will have a three course prix fix menu–you’ll get an appetizer or salad, entree, and dessert for $20.14.
This is perfect, right? Giving you and your better half an excuse to skip one of those romantic date nights at D-Hall when you swipe her in and then if you’re lucky, get the table right by the fire place? Nah, treat yourselves to a classy, tapas-style half-priced date night at Boca. It’s worth it. Plus, tapas is basically those tiny plates from D-Hall, so you’re sure to feel right at home.
Or maybe you’ve been whipping up vats of Easy Mac the past week in Wilmarth’s gourmet kitchen set up, well now’s the time to throw away those microwave-safe bowls and go to The Merry Monk for their Cast Iron Baked Mac n’ Cheese with bacon, baby shrimp, and a garlic bread crumb topping. (I mean, Shiiiiit)
