As we are approaching the cold and flu season not only am I prepping our own home with these get well items but I like to have these on hand for a sweet friend or family member that’s down sick too.  I usually text them and drop a little happy at their front door and leave!  We can visit another time, right?!  In the meantime whether a child or adult that is sick it’s always nice to have a little pick-me-upper that will get you through the sick days and boring days of staying inside and laying around.

My husband introduced me to teas when we got married.  I am the coffee drinker but he loves tea so we quickly stocked up!  Thanks to Bigelow Tea and Walmart our our kitchen cabinet is stocked with various Bigelow Tea!

It’s the best when you’re sick and need warmth and comfort or soothing your throat… it’s our go to…not to mention tea is one of the most tried and true methods for fighting off colds and flu.  We love Bigelow – Tea Proudly!  The freshness, foil packaging, quality tea/ingredients and US manufacturing makes us a fan!  Follow them on Facebook and Twitter!

I have put together a list of items to keep on hand to create the Perfect Get Well Basket.  You can adjust this for any age and make it appropriate to the recipient!

Thoughts on making your Get Well Basket or Bag eye appealing!

Start with the larger items in the back

Keep the smaller items to the front

Keep the colors bright and cheerful

Add a personalized tag to the basket/bag–> 3 FREE printables HERE!  (feminine, kids and gender neutral)

Chalkboard Mugs- I like to pick up the mugs that have the chalkboard spot on them so I can write a sweet and personal message!  this is a lot of fun, plus they can use it later and have their own variation to it!
