Razin, Ph.D will present a session at the Machine Learning Conference (MLconf) taking place this week in Seattle, WA about using Machine Learning to optimize the performance, efficiency and reliability of large, complex virtual and cloud environments.
MLconf events host speakers from various industries, research arenas and universities to discuss recent research and applications of Machine Learning methodologies and practices. Titled, “Machine learning as the key ingredient for making the ‘self-driving’ data center a reality,” Dr. Razin’s session is scheduled for Friday, May 1 at 12:20 PM at 415 Westlake located at 415 Westlake Ave N., Seattle, WA. Workloads are moving away from traditional physical servers toward virtual, and cloud environments that are dynamic, fast-growing, and complex with many layers and end-points. Dr. Razin’s presentation will discuss how principles of graph theory can be applied to operations data to analyze existing relationships and discover hidden inter-relationships in complex virtual and cloud environments. He will also discuss how machine learning semi-supervised principles can be applied to address the need for a single, easy-to-use way to identify and resolve problems, explore infrastructure improvements, and tune the efficiency of operations in these environments.
About the Speaker
As CTO, Dr. Razin is responsible for driving product strategy and innovation at SIOS Technology Corp. A noted authority in advanced analytics and machine learning, Dr. Razin pioneered the application of these technologies in the areas of IT security, media, and speech recognition. He is currently leading the development of innovative solutions based on these technologies that enable simple, intelligent management of applications in complex virtual and cloud environments.
Prior to joining SIOS, Dr. Razin was an architect for EMC storage products and EMC CTO office where he drove initiatives in areas of network protocols, cloud and storage management, metrics, and analytics. He has also served as Principal Investigator (PI), leader in research, development and architecture in areas of big data analytics, speech recognition, telephony, and networking. Dr. Razin holds a PhD in computer science from the Moscow State Scientific Center of Informatics. He also holds a BS in computer science from the University of South Carolina.
