A guide to the  best custom content websites on the web

If you suffer of a condition called ”Compulsory Sims Creation and Uncontrollable Home Furnishing Syndrome”, then you perfectly know that one of the major symptoms is craving costantly for new content to dress up your Sims and make their houses more beautiful and cosy.

Luckily, EA  provides us with new fresh content regularly, but as you know this doesn’t happen very often…How can we satisfy our thirst for new stuff then? Easy, with custom content websites!

In a nutshell, a custom content website is a place where you can download new content (hairstyles, make-up, clothes, shoes, home furnitures and more) made by other Simmers who share their creations with the community through those websites.

There are plenty of custom content websites out there, that’s why we decided to set up a guide with some of our favourites, so let’s jump into it right now!

If you still don’t know how to add custom content to your game, head over to our tutorial to learn how to do it.

TSR-The Sims Resource

Without any doubts the most big and popular custom conten website, with plenty of content (at the moment we’re writing, the site counts 876.376 creations).

There you can surely find anything your heart desires: clothes, make up, shoes, hair, accessories, skin tones, eye colors, and also furnishing and building tools like walls, floors, decoration items and even complete lots, I’m sure you won’t leave the site feeling disappointed.  You can also find custom content for Sims 3,2, and even 1 as well.

To access the content, you can either create a free account or  subscribe for a monthly premium membership called ‘VIP membership’ with various benefits like ad-free website, download basket and quick download features.

However, this premium membership is completely optional, you can fully enjoy the site and download the content with a free membership.

Simista

This website is completely focused on custom content for The Sims 4, personally crafted by the two website owners.

There you will find accessories, hairstyles, clothes, build items and make up and even custom laptops, stereos and televisions.

Despite being not very big, the website has a lot of contents and its very original, so I would definitely reccommend you to pay a visit, I’m quite sure you’ll find something you like. You don’t need an account to download custom content from this website.
