It’s been quite a week, hasn’t it?  I think we all need some stamp therapy.  Am I right?  I have a simple sketch to help you get the weekend going.  So, grab the stamps, ink, and paper and let’s go!

The colors mean nothing – you can use Designer Paper, a stamped background, or a Texture Embossing Folder!

The banner can be any shape.  Get Creative!

The sentiment can go anywhere you’d like

Sometimes we all need a little boost to get our creative juices flowing.  That’s what the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge is all about… a place to start and let your creativity go from there.

So, your challenge is…..over the weekend create something with this layout, share your creations on the Facebook group, and enjoy some great feedback from other Wild Girls.  Our group of ‘wild’ stampers is now at 3,500 members!  We’re having a great time on this page so join us!

Let me share a couple of fun ideas with you using the sketch for this weekend….

Isn’t this card gorgeous?  The Serene Scenery Designer Paper does most of the work but just look at that amazing art!

Talk about a quick and easy card to create!  This card takes less than 5 minutes to make.

I love the softness of this card. So pretty!

Another quick and easy card for you today.  The Pop of Pink Designer Paper acts as the layer of the card and just a quick addition of Baker’s Twine and that fabulous sentiment.

This card is a wonderful one to make up in advance and have on hand.  Change the colors if you want – Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, or Daffodil Delight.

The Triple Banner Punch made sure the flag ends are perfect for layering.  Don’t you just LOVE not having to fussy cut?

It’s OPENING NIGHT!!!!!!!!  “Exit Laughing” opens tonight and am working through the butterflies.  We has 2 previews over the last couple nights.  This is where we invite students from the local college, a few close friends, etc to come and watch.  This allows us to get a feel for when the audience will laugh AND work through forgotten lines and find a way to keep going.  Yours truly had a few of those moments BUT last night, I got every line… and in the right place.  Wahoo!

Life-long friends Connie (that’s me…yes, my character’s name is actually Connie), Leona and Millie have been playing bridge once a week for roughly 30 years with their outspoken friend Mary, who has just died after an illness. The three survivors are like variations of Dorothy, Blanche and Rose from “The Golden Girls” but with a Southern twang.

When Millie decides to “borrow” the urn containing Mary’s ashes from the funeral home so the girls can spend one last night together before the funeral, the others are initially horrified that she has taken the urn (more so when forced to touch it). Horror turns to disgust when they see how ugly and inappropriate the solid black container is for someone as colorfully vibrant as Mary must have been.

The night gets wilder when the police show up at Connie’s door and her over dramatic daughter realizes that this is the same guy that stood her up on their first date.  It’s a roller coaster ride of a show and patrons are sure to laugh until tears run down their legs.

Here are some photos.  Sadly our set wasn’t done when we took these because our set is AMAZING!  I will try to get a picture of it to show you next week.

I am super excited about tonight.  We are actually going to go camping this weekend because the campground is right by the theatre.  Typically it’s a 30-minute drive home for me and the campground is about 10 so it’s nice to be close by so I better get going.  I need to get everything packed.

Hope you all have a fun and fabulous weekend!  Do yourself and favor and find some fun stamping time!  I will see you on Monday for a Monday Make-It project!
