Just last week, the
story of Nigeria’s representative at the ongoing Big Brother Africa reality TV,
Beverly Osu show took centre stage and as expected, it came with the trademark
theatrics, controversies and sexual undercurrents that the show has become
known for over the years.

However, as we all
know, there’s always a fresh issue to shoot at on the show and this time, we’re
back at the STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) saga between two housemates.

What began with
admiration, attraction, friendship, intimacy and eventually sex between Nando
and Selly has since gone sour; thus, degenerating into episodes of accusations
and counter accusations of one party allegedly infecting the other with a STD.

It all started when
Nando openly accused fellow housemate, Selly of infecting him with STDs and it
came as a bit of a surprise to viewers when Nando and Selly who were once very
intimate suddenly began to avoid each other.

Earlier in the
show, while talking to Bimp one-on-one, Nando had disclosed that Selly infected
him with what he called 'Chlamydia;' a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), even
as this claim is yet to be medically verified.

Nando’s allegations
might remain largely unconfirmed but it completely explains the glaring loss of
affection between himself and Selly while she was still in the house to a point
of keeping each other at arms length.

The drama appears
to have taken a new dimension as the Ghanaian evictee and former housemate, Selly
has threatened to ensure Nando pays the price for allegedly tarnishing her
image before a global audience.

While fielding questions
at a recent press conference in Accra,
Selly revealed she is presently considering suing Nando for defamation of
character.

When asked to
comment on Nando's claims that she infected him with an STD, she said, "Actually,
my mum has threatened to take Nando on legally, which we have communicated to
the BBA producers. Nando and I did not have sexual intercourse; we made out,
yes! And that was as far as it went. I am only hearing all these things outside
of the house because I didn’t know about it while I was in the house so I
didn’t get a chance to defend myself.”

She expressed her
shock at his claim and noted that she would get him to communicate to the world
where he contracted his ‘STD’ from.

“…So for the STI
allegations that he is making, I am just waiting for Nando to come out so I can
ask him how he got the STI. I have been tested and I don’t have any background
of STI or STD so I don’t know how Nando contracted the disease that he claims
he has.”

Meanwhile, Nigeria's Beverly
remains at the receiving end of strong condemnation for her alcohol induced
episode, which left her intoxicated enough to indulge in cuddling, kissing and
ended with fellow housemate, Angelo’s fingers moving in and out of the warm
area between her thighs.

The model holds no
pretence about her wild personality appears to have taken all of this in good
stride as her quest to become $300,000 remains on course.

Back to the STD
saga, at a point in the show, Nando became sick for some time and while some
viewers were quick to trace this to the possibility of the illness being a
physical manifestation of a sexually transmitted disease, others on the
optimistic side truncated this line of thought and brushed it aside as nothing
more than stories without substance.

Another issue that
came up for discussion on social media platforms was whether Nando and Selly
used any form of protection before getting intimate or if it happened in the
primitive way; completely devoid of any protection.

Through all of
this, Nando however, made it crystal clear that he wasn’t ready for a serious
relationship but was just out to satisfy himself.

Eviction
update

For followers of
the Big Brother Africa show, it might interest you to know that a total of 15
housemates have been evicted from the house so far. Contestants who have been
evicted from the show include Bolt, Maria, Biguesas, Neyll, Betty, Montamma,
Denzel, LK4, Koketso, Fatima, Hakeem, Natasha
and Selly. The latest additions to the list are Sierra
Leone's Bassey and Zimbabwe's Pokello as they bid
farewell to the prize money

As another week
rolls to an end, viewers wonder who the axe of eviction strikes next.
