A children’s book publisher in Argentina created a fascinating new way to reuse old books. The initiative is called  Tree Book Tree. The publisher, Pequeno Editor, in partnership with FCB Buenos Aires, developed a new type of book that when you plant it, a new tree grows.

According to the video above, over 45 million pieces of paper are produced each day in Argentina.  The goal of Tree Book Tree is to provide a new way to reuse the paper in books and provide a positive impact to the environment. The book is made of environmentally friendly products and jacaranda seeds that sprout when planted.

The first book is called Mi Papá Estuvo en la Selva (My Father Was In the Jungle) and is made for children between 8-12 years old.

What a great way to educate kids about the environment. Kudos to this publisher.
