I have an exciting announcement to make. I’m so excited that I could burst.

Faithful readers here at Gospel Homemaking have probably noticed that I haven’t written much for awhile. I took a much-needed break a few months ago to devote more time and energy to my family, and I never really came back.

I wanted to, but I just couldn’t.

It’s funny how life can be like that sometimes. We make all these plans and have all these ideas, but God brings other plans and different ideas into our lives and turns us in a direction we never could have imagined.

That’s how it was. I really wanted to jump back into blogging, but some situations that God brought into my life left me speechless. Every time I would think about writing, I got the barely-less-than-audible-message that God was still refining me, and it wasn’t my turn to talk yet.

So, I was quiet.

Then a few months ago, something began stirring in my heart. I desperately wanted to get back to blogging again, yet that door kept closing every time I tried to start back up. I knew I had a desire to write, but I also knew this was a season of silent growth for me.

And all of a sudden, out of the blue, an idea was born. It was an idea I had brushed off in the past and laughed off if it was suggested. But here it was again, with a new force behind it. Little confirmations started popping up, and before long, everything seemed to be pointing in the same direction: I needed to start a brand new blog.

So, my friends, I would like to introduce you to Simple Everyday Home.

I’m excited to share this new adventure with you!

The mission of simpleeverydayhome.com is to serve as an encouraging and practical resource to give women real-life help and hope for managing their homes and improving their everyday lives.

That’s my heart.

Because while I love, love, love reading blogs by “experts” and seeing the amazingly creative ideas that other women come up with to organize and beautify their homes and simplify their lives, I am not an expert homemaker. I’m a wanna-be expert who is usually struggling just to keep up.

That’s my real life…and maybe it’s your real life, too. Just maybe you need real-life solutions to real-life problems that can fit into your real, ordinary, everyday life.

So, even though I’m far from perfect, I’ve been at this gig a long time, and I’ve learned a thing or two about homemaking. I’m still learning, and I’d love to share this journey of learning and growing with you!

At Simple Everyday Home I’ll share tips and tricks for getting rid of clutter, organizing your home, and developing routines. I’ll talk about figuring out healthy living and finding ways to save money. We’ll chat about motherhood and marriage, routines and recipes.

We’ll journey toward a simpler life that works in real life. SimpleEverydayHome.com is not about making home perfect; it’s about making home simply better.

Click over to learn more about me (you might be surprised!) and check out the new site. I hope you’ll also subscribe to the free Simple Everyday Home email newsletter. Not only is it a great way to keep up with new posts and get a behind-the-scenes look at my heart and life, you also get a great new FREEBIE!

What are you waiting for?  Grab a cup of tea (or coffee, if that’s your thing) and come join me in the journey toward a Simple Everyday Home!
