Actress Saranya Ponvannan has opened a fashion designing school called DSOFT (Designing School of Fashion Technology). Speaking about her love for designing, Saranya said, “I never wanted to become an actor. But I have always been passionate about fashion designing.” Before setting up the school, Saranya learnt designing for about 20 years. “Now I’m so glad that I have developed the ability to teach too.”
Despite being busy with films, Saranya said she is able to spend time teaching only because of her husband actor Ponvannan’s support. “He generously appreciates me. Even if I draw a silly floral design, he gives me feedback and sometimes, picks up the pencil and draws the whole design for me.”
Saranya also declared that she will not make clothes for films for now.
