Hi everyone, we are finally experiencing the winter weather in Delhi. January wasn’t feeling like January until it rained and the mercury dip to single digits. So I got to thinking about winter clothing. It is important to protect ourselves but we must still try to look fashionable and stylish in the loads of clothes we put on to brave the cold weather. Here are the top 7 winter essentials in women shrugs, jackets and coats.
#1 Denim Jacket
When it comes to jackets for women, I think no one can wrong with a denim jacket. You can wear it as your outerwear in fall and spring, and use it for layering in winter. A basic blue colour is something that will work with a number of colours. You can easily add a feminine touch to your look be wearing skirts or feminine tops with the denim jacket.
#2 Tweed Coat
Tweed is one of my favourite fabrics when it comes to coats for women. They are warm, easy to maintain and go with a lot of outfits. They are great for formal occasions as well. You can pair a tweed coat with a pencil skirt, trouser, etc.
#3 Leather Jacket
Not the most popular in women jackets, I still think leather jackets are a must-have for women. They add an element of edginess to any plain outfit. And these jackets for women come in a plenty of colours from burgundy, tan, navy, pastel pink, etc. in addition to black, brown and grey. These are not very bulky and keep you warm even in harsh winters.
#4 Pastel Long Coat
If you like girly and cute winter coats, a pastel-hued long coat is an ideal choice for you. I love pinks so my top choice in colors in powder pink. It would look great with dresses and boots in colours other than the usual ones such as black and grey would also make you stand out from the crowd.
#5 Chunky Knit Shrug
Shrugs are really popular these days, and for good reason. In summer, you can choose them in flowy and soft fabrics to add a touch of femininity to your outfit. Slightly thicker fabrics in shrugs for women can keep you warm in the chilly evenings of fall and spring. For winter, a chunky knit shrug can look great with a simple top and a pair of jeans. They keep you warm and save you from the icy cold wind.
#6 Fringe Shrug
Fringe and pompoms are really popular this season which is the reason a fringe shrug has made it to this list. I have always loved fringe shrugs and I am so happy that they are trending these days. You will have to add another layer when you are outdoors but you can don a fringe coat without any qualms when you go shopping to a mall. You can easily find fringe shrugs online.
#7 Faux Fur Coat
The faux fur ladies coats are my favourite ever since I saw a female protagonist wearing one over her dress in the chilly New York weather. Since I love animals, I cannot even think of wearing a real fur coat but I can never say no to a faux fur coat. They are soft, cozy and keep you warm. There is nothing more feminine than a faux fur coat over the shoulders of a gorgeous lady.
