Ever strolled through the city and
grabbed food from a casual street vendor? We at Bay Ridge Nissan
are guessing the answer is "yes." No one can resist indulging in a
food truck gyro or munching on a famous New York City hot dog. And with
increasingly healthier options, such as all-organic food on the go, street-side
dining is gaining even more popularity in urban locations. Of course, wherever
there is opportunity for growth, Nissan can be found. That is why the automaker
recently released two "scrumptious" new concept models.

Making
their debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, two NV-based food trucks caught
the eyes, and stomachs, of automotive viewers. In addition to handing out hot grilled-cheese
sandwiches and refreshing ice cream, the Nissan concepts displayed an
impressive collection of utility features. For easy food distribution, the models
come equipped with custom fold-out serving windows, work counters and unique
exterior graphics. In order to come up with the models' style, Nissan partnered
up with L.A.-based food companies, The Grilled Cheese Truck and Coolhaus Truck.

Speaking on the up and coming popularity of food trucks, the New York
City Food Truck Association says, "They stimulate culinary innovation,
draw tourists, energize the streets and are an important part of the social
fabric of the city."1

While the
average Nissan driver won't be getting behind the wheel of a food truck anytime
soon, everyone can appreciate the automaker's creativity. The Nissan experts at
Bay Ridge Nissan are excited to see the brand think outside the box
and explore an entirely new sector. If you have any questions about Nissan
initiatives or upcoming new
Nissan models, feel free to contact
