Guests from all aspects of the shooting industry gathered to celebrate the UK Shooting Industry’s achievements and innovations throughout the previous year.
It was another fantastic evening at Brandon Hall in Coventry and nearly 130 representatives from gunmakers, gunshops, distributors, cartridge manufacturers, shooting grounds, clothing and dog food manufacturers and many others involved in this great industry gathered to celebrate the winners of this year’s one and only shooting trade awards.
This year saw the addition of two new categories: New Ladies Clothing and Best Social Media Campaign.
Seven judges locked themselves away on a sunny day in April and had the difficult task to decide on the winners for each category from hundreds of entries received. It was not always an easy or unanimous decision and for that reason, we awarded Highly Commended in some categories.
The winners from this year’s Time Inc. Shooting Industry Awards
Matthew Kirk from MK Custom Calls, who unfortunately could not join us for the evening, was ‘absolutely flabbergasted’ to be told after the Awards that he was the winner of the New Shooting Accessory category:
“I can’t express in words how happy I am to win the Award but I will try. I am on cloud nine at the moment. I would like to thank all of my customers past/present/future for all their support over the years. Also, everyone who has helped me along the way including Nick Horten, Field Sports Britain to name but a few. There are many more. Last but not least my wife and family for putting up with many hours of honking and quacking. I’m surprised I haven’t been banished to the workshop permanently!”
We even had a special guest from the world of Rugby in our midst. Leicester Tigers and England rugby star, Tom Croft is a keen game shot and stalker and received The Field Shooting Personality of The Year from editor Jonathan Young.
