Am I the only one to find repeated use of this page to plug a site that equates Israel with Nazism objectionable?Let me make it clear that I abhor the brutal treatment of Palestinians by successive Israeli governments, and favour a democratic secular state in I/P.But the comparison of the current situation with the Holocaust is hyperbolic, politically illiterate and in itself anti-semitic.

Mark Whitehead He should be barred in my view. I go to a local philosophy group where we faced the same sort of problem: someone who persistently intervened at great length with his rambling, incoherent, conspiratorial views, mainly based around middle-east politics. We gave him repeated opportunities to change his ways and contribute to the group but in the end we excluded him. You can waste a lot of time wondering what to do about people like this.

As a member, I do have equal rights to publish articles and it is up to the readers to comment. If you think you can control the Facebook group, I advise you to open your own Facebook group. I see your comment as so disgraceful. Your problem with my posts is not that I spam the page with articles but it is what I publish. One of your colleagues started calling my website as an anti-Semitic website. This is an old Zionist trick to bully those who criticize the racist Zionist regime of Isreal.

Tom Davies I posted a couple of weeks back warning that I would start deleting posts if they continued at the same volume and in the same manner – ie links, without explanation or comment, to the same site. This person appears to have paid no attention to this. Also, this page has no connection to the official NUJ one – indeed if you’ve paid any attention to the recent debates on here on actual NUJ matters, you’ll see that a wide range of critical opinions exist among members of this group. But you’ve made no call on the NUJ to adopt a policy on anything, other than some bizarre and untrue assertions of what NUJ policy is, so given the mood of the group I’ll let no more of these types of post through
