There are so many special “days” and “months” that it’s hard to keep up with them all.

Did you know that today, March 21, 2014, is National Fragrance Day? Today is the day to celebrate all your favorite scents including perfume, potpourri, lotions, soaps, flowers, colognes, candles and even food and natural scents.

I love scents. I have so many home fragrance products. I love to mix them up and use a different scent every day whenever possible. During the fall I like scents like pumpkin, apple and baked goods. In the spring I love floral scents.

I have several scents that I absolutely love - lilac, a real Christmas tree and baby powder. I do enjoy more but these are my top three favorites.

Air Wick has created a new line of scented products called Familiar Favorites which are sure to please many consumers. Their three new scents include;

The mouth-watering aroma of fresh Cinnabon cinnamon rolls.

The smell of fresh laundry with Snuggle’s Fresh Linen fabric softener.

The unforgettable scent of a newborn baby with Baby Magic.

Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, a newborn baby and fresh linens… ahhh… now those are great scents. “Happy” scents too!

I had the opportunity to try out two of the three scents – Baby Magic and Snuggle. I’m on the look out of Cinnabon.

Air Wick sent me one can of each scent (Baby Magic & Snuggle) and one of their automatic air fresheners that you can set to spray the scent throughout the day.

The scent currently in the dispenser is Baby Magic. I know that my husband would be familiar with that scent since we used Baby Magic lotion on both of our children. I didn’t tell him about the air freshener. I wanted to see if he would notice it and if he knew what the scent was.

I set the dispenser on a bookcase near the living room. A couple of days had passed and he didn’t say anything. Then one evening he hear the dispenser make the “whoosh” sound because it startled our cat who happened to be walking by the bookcase at the time (she shot across the room). My husband turned to me and asked me what that sound was because he’s heard it a few times that past couple of days. I told him it was an automatic air freshener dispenser. He told me he noticed it but wasn’t sure what it was. Then he said “Is that why the living room smells like a baby’s room?” I told him “yes” and let him know that the scent was Baby Magic. He didn’t remember the brand name of the lotion we used with the kids but he remembered the scent. He said he thought it smelled familiar and every time he smelled it he would think of babies.

The scent really travels too because I can smell it sometimes in the dining room which is far from where the dispenser is.

It is a pleasant scent and does remind me of babies and like my husband said a baby’s room (nursery). That is a “happy” scent and it brings back memories of when my teens were babies/toddlers. With every whiff I reminisce about my kid’s younger years.

I haven’t used the Snuggle spray much (yet) except to manually spray it by hand since the Baby Magic is in the dispenser. It really does smell like the fabric softener. What I like about this scent is that it’s a clean scent. I know when I use it it’s going to make me feel like my home is squeaky clean because it has the scent of fresh, cleaned laundry. With five cats, a dog and two teenagers I welcome the scent of “clean” in my home.

When I do find the Cinnabon scent I am going to hold on to it for the Fall. A scent like that reminds me of Autumn/Thanksgiving/Back to School time – not spring or summer. I’ll be sure to enjoy it in a few months.

What do you think about the new scents from Air Wick? Have you tried them yet? Do you have a favorite scent? Feel free to share your thoughts.
