I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Sturm Foods, Inc. I received a promotional item and product samples as a thank you for participating”

It’s a cold, snowy day in New York today. It’s the kind of day where you want to grab a hot cup of your favorite beverage, pop in a good movie and curl up in a warm, fuzzy blanket. The weather outside might be “cold and frightful” but with a hot cup of cocoa and a great movie playing on the TV (I’m thinking a holiday movie or two) I’m warm and cozy inside.

I love coffee. I have it every day – sometimes more than once. I also enjoy tea, hot cocoa and specialty beverages like cappuccino, lattes and espresso. I like to keep it simple. I usually just add a splash of Fat Free French Vanilla creamer to my coffee and a smidgen of sugar and milk or lemon to my tea.

I have a single serve brewer (Keurig) and I love exploring the different brands/flavors of beverages that I can make with it.

A while back I was sent samples of beverages from Caza Trail to review – dark roast coffee, hot chocolate and vanilla cappuccino.

The word caza is Spanish for “hunt” – and Caza Trail™ beverages are the wonderful prize of our successful worldwide search for the satisfying, delicious tastes you’ve been hunting for. With Caza Trail™, your search for the “perfect cup” is sure to be a success.

Caza Trail offers a variety of coffees, teas and specialty drinks. My family went crazy for the hot cocoa from Caza Trail’s partner, Grove Square.

They sent me a variety box which included Milk chocolate, Dark chocolate and Peppermint. Everyone went crazy for the peppermint. That was the first one to go. Usually when I want to make peppermint hot chocolate I use a small candy cane inside the cup of cocoa. It gives it just enough of a peppermint taste to it. Sometimes when I order peppermint hot chocolate at a coffee shop or restaurant they use a peppermint flavored syrup which can be gross, especially if they use too much (they often do). It gives it a very artificial taste. That is why I prefer to use a real candy cane instead.

The Caza Trail peppermint hot chocolate was great. It gave me the same flavor I enjoy, but without a candy cane. I think that is why it was a popular flavor with my whole family.

My next favorite was the dark chocolate. It gave my hot cocoa a more “chocolately” taste to it when I enjoyed very much.

Winter hasn’t even officially started yet and my family is already enjoying hot chocolate. In fact the box that Caza Trail sent me to review is gone with the exception of two cups that I hide.

I am not a fan of any dark roast coffee. I find them too strong for my personal preferences. I did try the Caza Trail dark roast. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t as strong and acidic like most dark roasts are. If it were served to me I would drink it but it’s not something I would buy again for the simple reason that I just don’t like dark roasts of any kind from any brand. I prefer light and medium roasts instead. Unless it’s espresso. That I can tolerate for some odd reason.

The French Vanilla cappuccino was a HUGE hit. In fact I went and bought another box. OH! This is REALLY GOOD!

If you like cappuccino and you enjoy anything made out of French Vanilla, you will love this drink. Both of my kids tried it too and they love it. That is why I had to buy another box. I do limit them on caffeine but when they are allowed to have something they kept reaching for the cappuccino.

The French Vanilla cappuccino is actually made by Grove Square who is a partner of Caza Trail. I got a great deal on a box of 24 cups on Amazon.com.

My family is not the only ones to enjoy the Grove Square French Vanilla cappuccino – on Amazon it has 1,352 five star reviews.

I love using single serve “cups” because I am usually the only one who drinks coffee on a daily basis. I like the convenience of making coffee (or a specialty drink) whenever I want without worrying about filters and cleaning up the mess. It’s also silly to make a whole pot of coffee when I only want one cup. That is why I love my single cup brewer and using “cups” like the kind Caza Trail and Grove Square offer.

You can find both Caza Trail and Grove Square products on Amazon.com. You can also learn more about each brand and what they offer by visiting their websites – CazaTrail.com and GroveSquareCoffees.com.

Mom Central was giving away samples of Caza Trail’s Donut Shop Blend cups, but I don’t see it on their Facebook page anymore.

One lucky reader is going to have a chance to try out Caza Trail’s Donut Shop Blend because I have one box to give to a lucky reader.
