A while back I was offered the opportunity to work with a company called Saban. If you have not heard of them yet, you will. The company is only three years old and they have already grown by leaps and bounds – securing partnerships with many brands that you children, or grandchildren, are familiar with including Power Rangers, Paul Frank, Vortexx, Zui.com, The Playforge, Julius Jr., Digimon Fusion and Popples. Currently I am only familiar with Power Rangers and Paul Frank. I’m still learning more about the other brands.

Saban asked if I would be interested in being a brand ambassador. I was happy to accept the opportunity.

I received some products as part of a “welcome package”, which my kids immediately dug into and took what they wanted. They were on top of the box like vultures to a kill. LOL! I barely had the opportunity to see what was in the box before my kids walked away with the goodies.

I will admit that I goofed up. I thought the box of goodies was merely a “welcome” gift. I didn’t know I should have reviewed the products. That was my fault. I should have asked. I’ve worked with other brands as an “ambassador” before and sometimes they send goodies “just because”. They are not something that needs to be reviewed. I HONESTLY thought this was the case. I realize now I was wrong. I’ve been trying to gather up the goodies that my kids took but finding stuff in their room is like finding a needle in a haystack (my kids are the King and Queen of disorganization). I did manage to hold on to some cool ear buds, only because my kids go through ear buds like they were Tic Tacs. Either they lose them or leave them lying around for the cats to chew on.

I did receive some goods from the Paul Frank line. Paul Frank has created a cute monkey character called Julius. Are you familiar with Julius?

The global fashion and lifestyle brand Paul Frank is dual-gender and has fans from infant to adult. Julius the monkey is the face of the Paul Frank brand. Paul Frank merchandise includes apparel and accessories for all ages, books, stationery, eyewear, home décor, bicycles and more.

Saban has a lot – and I do mean A LOT – of fun Paul Frank/Julius products. The ear buds I received are just one of the many products. They are made by Skullcandy. Skullcandy is well known for their quality headphones and ear buds. Another words, even though these ear buds feature the adorable Julius character, these are not “toy” ear buds. These are QUALITY ear buds that just happen to feature graphics from Paul Frank.

I have teenagers and they are very picky about things, especially when it comes to their music. Both of my kids agree that these ear buds are one of the best they have owned. They tell me the sound quality is crystal clear and my son made a comment about “none of that annoying static sound” which he says he gets with other ear buds.

Not to mention they come in kid friendly colors (my daughter loves pink).

Paul Frank’s Julius character appears on A LOT of other products, many of which are great for back to school time including Mead journals, stickers and Chapstick. There are even Paul Frank/Julius temporary tattoos. They might not be something you’d get your kids for back to school time, but it’s certainly something kids would have fun with.

Paul Frank’s products are not only fun for kids, but adults too. I’m a forty-something year old woman and I have seen some Paul Frank/Julius products I would love to have.

For more information about Paul Frank and Paul Frank products visit www.PaulFrank.com. You can also follow the Paul Frank brand on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and even YouTube.

Saban also represents Power Rangers. I remember Power Rangers from when I was a young adult. I can’t believe they have stayed around for so many years.

After the hit series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers launched in 1993, Power Rangers quickly became the most-watched children’s television program in the United States and is the No. 1 boys live-action series across all television in its time period.

The Power Rangers are currently celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year with the current season on Nickelodeon, Power Rangers Megaforce.

The Pink Power Ranger used to be named Kimberly, which is my name. The new Pink Ranger is now named Emma.

Power Rangers tend to be more of a “boy” show, but girls can enjoy it too, especially with female characters.

Saban has a lot of Power Ranger products including DVDs, notebooks and stickers. They even have a line of Hot Wheels cars which are sure to be popular with young boys. They even have a Power Ranges Monopoly game!

For more Power Ranger information visit their official website, www.PowerRangers.com. Check out the “Empowerment” section if you have a chance. You can even find free downloads there.

You can also connect with the Power Rangers on their various social networking sites.

Vortexx is a new brand that I am unfamiliar with, but I am learning more about it. Just like the other brands (Paul Frank & Power Rangers), Sabran also offers many fun products featuring the Vortexx brand including sunglasses, watches, stickers and even a drawstring backpack (great for camp and gym class).

Vortexx on The CW airs every Saturday morning from 7AM to Noon, is a multi-platform entertainment brand destination that engages kids through well-established content, activities and products featuring high-energy action, adventure and comedy. Current programs on Vortexx include Rescue Heroes, The New Adventures of Nanoboy, Sonic X, Transformers Prime, Justice League Unlimited, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Yu-Gi-Oh Classic and Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal. Fans of Vortexx on The CW don’t have to wait for Saturday mornings to unleash the fun of Vortexx. MyVortexx.com keeps kids entertained 24/7/365 with fun activities, games and full episodes.  Vortexx also has a branded Video on Demand Channel by Kabillion.

Does your child or grandchild watch any Vortexx programming? I’ve heard of Transformers Prime (I think I might have even landed on it while flicking between channel). Justice League and Dragon Ball Z sound familiar too.

You can check out Vortexx on Facebook and Twitter too.

Other brands represented by Saban include;

Digimon Fusion, which will launch on Nickelodeon in the U.S. in Fall 2013, is the sixth installment of the hugely successful 250+ episode Digimon franchise. Digimon Fusion takes kids inside an adventure-packed Digital World, where our heroes’ courage is matched only by the fusion of their teamwork, loyalty and humor to save the world from an evil threat or be deleted once and for all! Check them out on Facebook.

The Playforge is a leader in mobile social games that is best known for internationally acclaimed game, Zombie Farm. For more information visit ThePlayForge.com. You can also find Zombie Farm on Facebook.

Zui.com provides access to the largest collection of curated, kid-friendly online content including a large library of videos and online games.  Zui.com also features a safe, social media experience for kids where they can develop a personal profile page with their own avatar, “like,” “vote” and “favorite” content, access games and add friends with no open messaging. Visit www.Zui.com for more information.

Saban Brands announced its acquisition of Popples in Summer 2012, including its plans to re-launch the nostalgic franchise. There will be more to come on the development of this franchise in 2014. Currently there is only a Facebook page for the Popples. Look for more information coming soon.

Another brand that Saban represents is Julius Jr. Julius Jr. is a miniature version of Julius. He’s going to be featured in a new animated series this fall.

Julius Jr., launching on Nick Jr. in Fall 2013, is an all-new animated preschool series based on the creative spirit and lovable characters of Paul Frank. The show follows Julius Jr. and his playful friends who use equal doses of imagination and inventive spirit to help each other overcome challenges big and small—teaching kids that the best inventions are the ones that help your friends! Franchise themes and curriculum include: Friendship & Teamwork, Playful Adventure, Imagination & Invention, Cooperative & Active Play.

This show looks adorable. I’m looking forward to checking it out. I can’t wait to see what cute products they develop for the show too. I’m looking forward to things like Julius Jr. plush toys, figurines and books.

You can find Julius Jr. and Friends on Facebook.
