***SO MY POST WENT NUTTY ON ME LAST NIGHT.  I'M NOT SURE WHY IN THE WORLD THE SPACING IS LIKE IT IS, BUT IT WAS LATE, AND I DIDN'T HAVE IT IN ME TO FIX IT.  LET'S JUST ALL CROSS OUR FINGERS IT ENDS UP FIXING ITSELF***

SO Y'ALL!

It's December 7th.

WHOAH.

Maybe you all are all sorts of ready for Christmas and have all the presents bought and wrapped.
I'm not that person. Never has been. Never will be.

I have about 1/2 done I think, so I'm actually doing pretty good this year.

But now, it's the busy season, I have tons of events to attend, and I still have to do about 1/2 of my shopping. AND...in addition to buying the presents...I know many of you are also trying to figure out what you are going to wear to all of these events you have coming up!

I'm hoping today's post is going to help with some of this!

First of all.

If you still have some shopping to do for the ladies in your life, come and hang out with me at Accessory Concierge this Thursday (Dec. 12th) because I'm going to be hosting a Christmas open house at the store!  And look HOW GORGEOUS the store is!

It's going to be a super fun time to shop, drink some wine, and hang out with girlfriends during this busy holiday season!

And I can't tell you exactly what's going down, but they are going to be offering some INCREDIBLE deals to us! WooHoo!  You'll just have to come to see what kind of deals we are talking about!

WHERE:

Accessory Concierge
4239 W Lovers Ln Dallas, TX
WHEN:

Thursday, December 10th from 7:00-9:00
WHY:

Because it's going to be tons of fun! And I don't know about you, but I have some more Christmas shopping to do!

If you are planning on coming, please leave a comment and say how many people will be with your group!

So now I'm going to help you a bit with what to wear this month.

I found this sweater last week and fell in love.

On the way out of the mall I ran into Shay (we had eaten tacos together about an hour before, but we had separated to get stuff done), and I immediately whipped out my phone to show her my new find.  She was all "That's so cute!  Wait!  That's the sweater I already have.  In 2 colors!"

#oops

#shouldhavelistenedtoshayearlier

So she already knew it was OH SO soft and comfy because I had been hearing her talk about her new sweater and how soft and comfy it was.

I just didn't connect the dots.

Her sweaters are striped with solid sleeves.

The one I tried on (and ordered) was the opposite with a solid navy top and striped sleeves!

It was fun on it's own, but I thought it was especially fun with this graphic mustard infinity scarf!

I think this is a perfect outfit for your kid's Christmas party at school!

Comfy, cute, and will look great in pictures!

It would also be a good choice for Christmas Eve or Christmas day!

sweater / scarf / similar jeans by same maker / similar cognac boots / similar studs

And I'm telling you, this sweater is SOFT.

I didn't get the sweater in store because I wanted a size small, and they didn't have that in store.

I'm wearing an x-small in the pic above, but it was a bit snug across the chest.

I laughed when I came home to find it online, because the fit on the model is much more generous and looks like a totally different sweater on her.

So, even though I like the fit (with the band tight across my waist), I also like the idea of it being a bit of a looser fit like on the models (which is how it fits on Shay as well).
If you want it fitted (like on me above), size down a size.
Otherwise, it appears to be true to size.  I'm hoping mine arrives later today!

Another good idea for something to wear to a kid's school party, around town shopping, or even just to be cute and cozy in your own home is something you've now seen on the blog several times.
This Free People cowl neck tunic.

I love everything about this pullover and it's being price matched again (which is why I'm talking about it again)!
IT. IS. AWESOME.
It's loose and flowy (without being HUGE or tent-like), and I love the "heathered" look.  The big cowl neck makes it interesting and unique, but it's not overwhelming at all.
It's just so cozy (but still really cute)!
For size reference, I'm wearing an x-small/small.

The oatmeal and this red are ON SALE as well!

Speaking of kid's parties, I wanted to give you some ideas for teacher gifts!

Let's start out with a super affordable idea that I think is so much fun!

I actually posted this on Friday, but I'm thinking it might have been overlooked by many of you with all of the hysteria surrounding the $3000 giveaway!

If you've been following the blog for awhile, then you remember the earring cards we had for teachers at the beginning of school.  They were a big hit with everybody!
Well, Andrea whipped up this one for us for Christmas.

You put the earrings on the tree LIKE ORNAMENTS!
STOP IT!
You can put on one pair, two pair, or three pair!
Just right click, "save as", and then print off the graphic below.  I print mine on card stock.

Look HOW DARLING  the card is printed off and ready to go!

I used the $8 crystal stone studs HERE and the $12 (or 2 for $20!!!) faceted stone stud earrings HERE because I like how sparkly both of them are (love the emerald and navy too)!

These of course make wonderful teacher gifts...

but they also make great sister, daughter, best friend, etc... gifts as well!

Click on the sparkly earrings you are interested in!
And remember, the $12 are also  for $20!!!

Here are some other teacher gift ideas at varying price points.  And don't forget, teachers always love a gift card!  Think Starbucks, her favorite restaurant, Target, Nordstrom, mani/pedi appts, etc!

Merry Christmas glass tray / fuzzy socks / kate spade polka dot tumbler /

mustard infinity scarf / philosophy hand cream set / monogrammed tote

There are also lots of great teacher gifts HERE on Etsy, but I'm guessing it's probably too late to order many of them and have them personalized before school is out for Christmas.  Next year I will highlight some of these awesome gifts earlier!

Or maybe you need help with something to wear to a fancy Christmas party, or  for New Year's Eve!
I have a post I'm working on (it will either go live this Wednesday or next Monday) where I'm going to highlight a couple of options of what to wear to a holiday party!
In preparation for that post, I was looking around and found all of these little black dresses ON SALE over the weekend.  I posted them on facebook on Saturday, and I'm crossing my fingers that they are still on sale this morning!

a) karen kane scalloped lace dress / b) illusion shift dress/ c) foil dress / d) bp lace shift dress

e) karen kane shift dress / f) mixed media shift dress

A reader left the following comment on the facebook post:
I have the Karen Kane scalloped v neck dress and have worn it on 3 different occasions. Each time, I get tons and tons of compliments! The best part is that it's super comfy:) It comes in s,m,l. I'd say it's is true to size. I am 5'5" and between a 4 and 6 and they say a small is a 4/6. I have a small and it fits very comfortably and the length falls just a couple of inches above the knee.   - Stacy O.

I was actually hoping to have this post ready today, but I just couldn't get my stuff together after the crazy fun week last week with all the giveaways.  So, since I know many of you are needing party dress ideas now, I thought I would give you a little sneak peek into my post.

I ordered THIS little black dress and love it (only 0s, 2s, and 4s are left now, so if you want it, you better hurry).  I think it's classic and lovely and could be worn to so many different occasions.

You'll also be seeing THIS lace top (I'm planning on pairing it with black dress pants, heels, and blingy jewelry for a great alternative for those of you that aren't dress people) and THIS red lace dress (it also comes in black) in my Holiday Dress post.

All run true to size.  I'm a 4 in the first little black dress, a  small in the lace top, and a 4 in the red lace dress.  Just click on the picture if you are interested in any of them.
