So today I have a regular ol' Pinterest Told Me To post!
I have several more scheduled for the next month as well, so we are going to be getting back to basics around here with some classic recreations!
Here was my inspiration for today.
A Military Jacket (duh), Stripes (duh), Cut-offs, and Sneakers.
This is not a "normal" outfit for me, but I thought it was so cute and sporty that I just had to try it!

However, even though I owned every single piece featured in the photo, there is NO WAY I would have come up with this darling combo on my own.
Once again, my pinning has paid off.

So here's how I did it.

If ordering the jacket, make sure you select "regular", "petite", or "tall" accordingly.
My jacket is from Old Navy and sold out, but I think I might even like this new version better, also from Old Navy! It still has the gathered waist, but it doesn't have the drawstrings at the bottom (which sometimes annoy me.)

At least I hope I adore it when I actually receive it. Because I ordered it on Friday night.
I love that it's a popover instead of a true button up. I think they lay nicer and look better both tucked in and worn out. I also love the sleeves.

I ordered it in a small and am crossing my fingers it works. I think it will be a classic addition to my closet that I will wear for years and years to come. I wear my above shirt all the time, but I always end up looking messy by the end of the day.
I think THIS one will function better for me!
And I like that I could wear the sleeves down, or I can cuff them and use the tab to keep them put!

Now, before you go, I wanted to share a blog comment I received this week about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and make an Anniversary Sale Announcement!

I got a Nordstrom debit card just bc of this blog. Last year I was a fairly new reader and I was reading y'alls accounts of this huge sale & I was like, what IS all this talk about?! (I'm a new Nordstrom shopper as well, and also bc of this blog.) So, anyway, I'm a cardholder for the purpose of getting early access. I've been waiting and waiting since Christmas for this July sale. I'm counting down the days!!
Oh, and I heard Nordstrom will send out a catalog a week ahead of time that outlines all the anniversary sale items, so we can plan. Is this true?! I thought it was just a free-for-all once midnight hit- but to actually know what will be on sale a WEEK BEFORE! I mean, whoot!!!
Everything you've heard is true. :)
A catalog will come out with lots of the sale items highlighted (but not all). So yes, we can prepare appropriately. I promise, I will walk you through the entire sale!

And let me say again, the Kate Spade multi-color glitter studs are rumored to be included in the sale.
My guess is they will last 2 days TOPS during early access.
Here's the Anniversary Sale announcement:
Last Friday I asked a random sales girl (that was as sweet as can be!) in the lingerie department at Northpark if any blardigans were going to be included in the Anniversary Sale.
AND. THEY. ARE.
AND they are striped this year!
YES.
STRIPED.
I KNOW.
Like big wide stripes.
She brought out a black and white merchandise sheet that had pictures of all the items in her department that were going to be included. I scanned it as fast as I could, and I did see Hanky Pankys as well as a couple of Natori bras.
So, there are several items we already know about that make GETTING A CARD worth it so you can shop early access on July 9th (and don't have to wait until July 16th). And remember, if you don't want to open a credit card, you can always get a debit card and experience the same early access perks. I don't want anybody to miss out on PTMT favorite finds!
And I'm telling you, it is highly unlikely that the Kate Spade glitter studs or Blardigans still be in stock when the sale finally goes live to the public.
