So I started my Back To Basics series last Monday...
and here we are, only 2 weeks in, but already on Outfit #3!

TEE, JEANS. and CONVERSE

MAXI, DENIM JACKET, and NECKLACE

And now for Outfit #3!
We have a seriously basic combo that is classic and cute!
CHAMBRAY SHIRT and WHITE JEANS with COGNAC and GOLD ACCESSORIES

chambray softened shirt HERE / exact white jeans HERE (the online pic of them is horrible and makes them look grey...but trust me, they are white!)/ belt HERE
similar cognac sandals HERE (from same maker)/
pendant necklace HERE / blingy hoops HERE / watch HERE
leather tote HERE (the code PTMTSAVE10 might still work)!

I HIGHLY recommend this shirt.   You do have to iron or dry clean it, but I'm totally okay with that.
It's worth it.
I. LOVE. IT. AND. YOU. WILL. TOO.
It's light enough that I plan on wearing it all summer!
It's soooo soft, has a very flattering fit, and has the prettiest little pleats across the back!
For size reference, I'm wearing an x-small in the shirt.

Get The Look For Yourself by clicking on the pictures below.
All items are linked are the exact pieces I'm wearing, with the exception of the sandals in which similar (from the same maker) are linked because mine are almost sold out.

If you prefer to order from Nordstrom over LOFT, you can click HERE to see different chambray shirt options (all under $100).
THIS one in particular is very similar to the J Crew Factory one that I've had for years (but has been sold out for quite awhile).
And THIS one is very similar to my shirt today, but in
a lighter wash.

So, now that you've seen the basic combo, I also wanted to show you how you can "fun up" the combo by trading out the simple gold pendant necklace and adding colorful and fresh accessories!
turquoise and pink agate HERE / wood beaded tassel HERE / green and blue agate HERE
(I took these next pics after I had already done the 1/2 tuck in the pictures above, that's why the bottom is a bit wrinkled.  But I also wanted y'all to see that the shirt is so cute left out also!)

And here's a close up of the necklaces.
As you can see, I'm wearing my light pink studs on the left, my coral studs in the middle, and my cobalt studs on the right.

All $8 studs can be found HERE.
You need at least 3 colors.
I promise.

And in case you are still in need of a pair of white jeans, I've got a new pair.
My BELOVED pair from Target got ruined. (If you listen closely, you can hear my soul crying.)
I rubbed up against something in the garage and got grease all over the front of them,.
Well, I needed white jeans, and I actually went to get THESE Articles of Society jeans that I'd talked about before (on the recommendation of Ashley, a reader), but they didn't have those in my size.  Lots of you ladies got them after I mentioned them before, and I received several e-mails about how much y'all love them!  They are only $54, so they are a great deal.
But since they didn't have the ones I was looking for in sore, I tried THESE on from Treasure and Bond, and I loved them!  Again, the online picture of them is horrible, but they are actually great!
For size reference, I'm wearing a 26.
Click HERE for the jeans.

So here is the same shirt above with 2 pairs of LOFT shorts that I got last month. to show you how the shirt is super versatile!  (As I've said.  LOFT is definitely my GO TO place for shorts.  Click HERE for 4", 6", 8", and 10" options.)

If you are going on vacation this summer, you have to have these bright geometric beauties!

shorts HERE / softened denim shirt HERE /

similar gold wedges HERE and HERE (on sale!)

I would suggest sizing down 1 size in the shorts.  For size reference, I wear a 2 in the Marisa fit pants, but I'm wearing a 0 in these shorts.

And imagine the shorts with a white button up and gold and turquoise jewelry (click HERE to see me in this).

For a more casual look, the bright shorts would look awesome with THIS eyelet trimmed tee.

Love these too....
graphic shorts HERE / softened denim shirt HERE /
$18 necklace HERE / similar cognac sandals HERE (from same maker) / earrings c/o Kendra Scott, at Nordstrom HERE
I would again suggest sizing down in the shorts.  These are a 0.  I'm wearing an x-small in the shirt.

And before you go, two more things:
1)
Click HERE for this swing tank I featured on facebook last night.
It's 40% OFF, making it $14.90, and it comes in tons of colors.
I asked if anybody had the tank and for their opinions, and lots of girls sounded off that they have it (many have it in multiple colors) and LOVE it!  Most agreed to size down (they said the arm holes would be too big if you didn't) unless you are tall  and need the length.
