 It's Friday!
Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

And I don't mean to throw you into full blown hysteria, but there's something you need to know.

They are 6 Fridays until Christmas.

I. KNOW.

It makes me SOOOOO excited and maybe just a tiny bit panicked at the same time!

I'm going to do what I can today to help you continue to get ready for Christmas by sharing some of my favorite Christmassy (let's all just act like it's a word) things with you today!  And because It's Friday Favorites, there will be a little bit of random thrown in too, because that's how I roll.
;)

I'm linking up with my sweet friends Andrea, Erika and Narci,

and you should go and link up with one of them too!

LET'S GET GOING WITH SOME OF MY FAVORITE CHRISTMASSY THINGS!

I don't know how it happened girls, but all of a sudden it's GAME TIME.

But listen, no stressing out this year,I'm here to help!

And you need to start getting excited about something, because the first week of December, Shay and I are going to BLOW YOUR MIND with our giveaways.  It's called  Five Days of Fabulous....and let me tell you...the title is not over-selling it.

First up.

If you have a young child and don't have ELF ON THE SHELF yet, order it right now

by clicking HERE. Seriously, order it right this very second.

I found it online at Nordstrom for THE EXACT SAME PRICE that you find it at Target.

And if your order it online at Nordstrom, you won't have to pay shipping....AND your kiddo won't be with you when you buy it (which is very important).

If you've ever been on Pinterest, then I know you know what Elf on the Shelf is.

The best way I know how to describe it is this:
If you buy this book, you will create wonderful memories and extend the magic of Christmas.
Did you hear that people?
YOU WILL EXTEND THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS.
The Elf on The Shelf people really should put me in charge of their marketing campaign.
I mean, just look at my graphic.
(And let's just go ahead and ignore the fact that I'm missing the "n" in extend.)

You and your little ones will have so much fun with this and you will be creating memories that will last a lifetime.  They are only little once, and this is a great way to take advantage of these precious years.  We started when Carter was 3, and he still talks about things that our elf "Tootie" did 3 years ago!  He can't wait till he comes back to visit this year, and at our house, Tootie always shows up the day after Thanksgiving (which is why you need to order the book now!)!
And let's be honest, if you have a 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, or 9 year old,
you HAVE to be doing Elf On The Shelf.
ALL of the kids have an elf, and if your kid doesn't, well then that's just sad.

If you were reading the blog last year at Christmas, then you might remember this...
Per my request, My friend Andrea created.....
wait for it...
Pinterest Told Me To Christmas gift tags!
If you and your best friends, you and your mom, you and your sister, all the girls in your family, all the girls in your book club, all the girls in your Zumba classs.....you get the idea.....
If you and some of your loved ones read the blog together,
I would get SO TICKLED to think about you printing these off, slapping them on a Christmas present, and you ladies unwrapping Pinterest Told Me To highlighted presents on Christmas morning!
Andrea did 2 versions for us.
Version #1

Version #2:

Just right click on either one of the images above ( 3 tags per document), save it to your computer, and print them out!  All I did was just tape it to a wrapped package!
Look how DARLING they are!

I certainly hope you are "oohing" and "aahhing" appropriately over these.
Because they deserve some serious ooohs and ahhhhhhs.
And maybe a little bitty squeal of happiness.
And feel free to clap your hands out of sheer delight.
:)

I've been getting some questions about festive holiday wear.
Not necessarily party wear, just cute clothes for the holiday season.
I'm going to start working on a post with a couple of different outfit options, but until then, I have some plaid shirt options for you!

At the bottom of a post a couple of weeks ago, I did a Get The Look For Yourself collage with a red plaid shirt with my navy puffer (click HERE to see the post).

Well, I started making this collage for that post (to give you red plaid shirt options), but I never finished it...so you are getting it today!

A red plaid shirt would be so fun to add to your closet for the holiday season, and there are some great choices below!  All would look great on their own with skinny jeans and tall boots or under a puffer!

a. navy plaid with red accents HERE

b. small plaid cotton shirt HERE

c.  red and navy plaid henley top HERE

d. red and blue plaid one pocket shirt HERE

I think "c" is my favorite!  Love the colors and the henley collar.

Or if you don't want to wear a puffer (click HERE for my navy one with toggles!), maybe you're a fur vest type of girl?
I keep seeing them on everybody and love them, I just haven't been brave enough yet.
Check out THIS one.
And THIS one is from Jessica Simpson and is 40% OFF (only medium and large left).

One thing I like to do for Christmas is get my boys (the hubby and the kid) a couple of things they actually NEED.  For Chris, that often times means underwear and socks.  :)
This year I totally splurged and I ordered Carter a pair of Hunter Rain Boots to wrap up for under the tree.
But then this happened.

Yep.
The day they got delivered it was raining outside, and mama couldn't wait.
#oops

So when Nordstrom contacted me to talk about kid's cold weather shoes,  I thought if some of you mamas out there like to get a "need" gift too, this post could be helpful!  Most kids need a pair of good winter shoes, and Nordstrom has an extensive collection to choose from that are both warm and super cute!  Anyway, I hope this post might give you some ideas!

Maybe y'all can be better and actually wait until Christmas morning for
your little one to open the gift.

Here are both of us in our Hunters.
Makes me smile. :)
Click HERE for Carter's / click HERE for mine in Pillar Box Red

Here are some close-ups of his new kicks!
I mean.
I know they are Carter's, but I couldn't love them more if they were my own.
Click HERE for his exact pair in toddler, little kid, and big kid sizes.
They come in 3 different color combos and that's a reflective detail on the back.
Love.
If you want them to be appropriate for really cold weather, you'll need to get the Hunter Boot socks too.  Click HERE for all Kids' Hunter boot options, including the socks!

Here are some other kid's cold weather shoes for boys.

Just click on the shoes you are interested in!

WORK IT SON.
WORK. IT.

I also wanted to share a picture of one of my favorite readers, Ashley, and her daughter.
She got her a pair of Hunters also, she sent me this picture and this is what her e-mail said:
I got mine last year and splurged on some for Elin this year.
Her feet are tiny and grow slowly so hopefully she can wear for two years.
Josh saw them and said, I want to ask how much they were but I kind of don't even care because they are so cute! Ha!
You're a good man Josh, a good man.  :)
And look at Elin's cute little boot socks!

And here are some options for girls.

Again, just click on the shoes you are interested in!  And yes...those are Frozen slippers.

You're welcome.

When strolling through Nordstrom a couple of weeks ago, I tried on THIS scarf, but totally forgot to show it to y'all!
I love the colors and the stripe.  It's a big scarf, and it's very warm!

If you follow me on instagram (you can do so HERE), then you saw that I updated my chalkboard for the season.  It might have taken me close to an hour (wish I was kidding), but I am having so much fun changing it up!

In case you're wondering, I'm still obsessed with my Ugg Lattice Cardis.
Full disclosure, I've now worn them 4 straight days in a row.  We had a serious cold snap in our area, and not only have I been wearing them constantly, I've been constantly wondering WHAT THE HECK I would have been wearing on my feet if I hadn't purchased these a couple of weeks ago.

And let's all take a moment to look at my precious dog in the background.

(I'm also wearing my $8 earrings you can find HERE!)

I posted these items on Wednesday's blog post at around 10:30 a.m (and I put them on facbook Wednesday night), but I wanted to post it again just in case you are an early morning blog reader  or a facebook fan and didn't see it!
